Nice solid ice maker - Chewy crunchy ice
Nice ice machine. Does the chik filet type style ice cubes (not large blocks; its crunchy chew ice). It works pretty quickly to make ice. Make sure to check it as it will jam if the hole is blocked with ice that's not falling into the bucket. Only other issue (and might not even be the machine) when I try to store the left over ice in freezer, it ends up being a large solid block of ice and doesn't come apart like when it's made. All good though! It's not bad!

This is a great ice bucket. And keeps the ice fresh. The lid is great with a clip attachment that works good.

Perfect ice bucket for my freezer.
We have an ice maker in the door of our refrigerator, but we don't use the ice it makes for consumption because we have no way to filter the fluoride and other forever chemicals out of the water. Instead, we use filtered water in ice cube trays to make our ice cubes. I have a cute set (also from Amazon) that came with 2 ice cube trays and a small ice bin that I use for making and storing ice. It works great. However, it's not very big, so it doesn't hold a lot of ice. There are times when I wish I had more ice cubes on hand such as when making ice tea or lemonade, or on those hot days when we're working outside and drinking a lot of iced beverages to stay cool and hydrated. This portable ice bucket solves this problem. I'm able to make a lot of ice when I don't need it and store it in this bucket for when I do need it. This way, I always have plenty of consumable ice on hand. This sturdy ice storage bucket is made of slightly flexible, clear plastic that is thick and durable. The lid snaps on with HINGED snap locks, which is an excellent feature. Because the snap locks are hinged, and are not just creased, they should last for the life of the product. The lid also has a gasket which makes it leak-proof and airtight. No freezer smells can contaminate my ice even if it's stored for a long time. There is a nifty ice tong set that stores in a bracket on the inside of the lid. It works perfectly for serving my small ice cubes (see pics). The size of this ice bucket is just right for storage in my freezer (see pic), and the handles lay down flush with the lid for easy stacking and storage. The retail price at the time of this review is $25.99, BUT there is both a $3.00 coupon AND a 10% off coupon on the product page bringing the price down to about $20.39. This is a fair price for this sturdy ice bucket that should last for many years. I love everything about this item. My rating: FIVE STARS.

Bad seal
It doesn't seal tight enough and lets air in, so items can still get freezer burned.

Good size
Nice and big bin. Holds lots of ice. Tongs do not grab ice at all. I also would have liked to hear a better snap sound from the lid when I close the lid. But, over all I am happy with this product.

Ice bucket
We’ve been using this for a few weeks and so far have no complaints. It fits a fair amount of ice and I like the silicone seal around the lid. The tongs are a nice feature and while I don’t always use them, it’s nice they can attach to the lid so they don’t get lost. This takes up some space so make sure to note the dimensions. We thankfully have an extra chest freezer so the space this takes up isn’t an issue. If we didn’t have the extra freezer I’d still use this as it’s nice to have some ice that’s just quick to grab out as needed without messing with trying to pop some out of ice molds. Is this absolutely a needed item? Not really, but when you’re in a rush in the mornings for instance to make a quick smoothie this has been handy. We also go though a decent amount of ice so it’s nice to have this full as well as a stash in some molds ready to refill it. I’m glad to have it.
