Clear and uncomplicated set of cards.
I use it to transpose keys, practice scales, learn the fretboard notes and discover how to create suspended and augmented chords.

Raise your tone.
An excellent resource for those who have learned a few chords but are wondering how it 'all works'.There's a heck of a lot of information on these cards, but when you break the hacks down and take in a bit at a time it all starts to make sense and pull together. Small nuggets of knowledge that will open up countless new options for you when playing. The presentation is excellent too, and the cards are very well produced, being both clearly printed and on nice cardstock.I've learned more with these cards than I have from many other tuition books.I was so impressed with these cards that I got the Circle OF Fifth Decoder with the Guide book. Absolutely essential and they make learning easy and fun.You actually start to realise how chords work and how to change them into several other chords formsrather than just memorizing chord boxes. Highly recommended.

Display clarity
As an absolute beginner a simple key to the symbols used in the charts would have been extremely useful. MF

Great product
I recently bought the circle of fifths chord wheel from the same company and wish I had bought the bundle including this product. Great addition to the circle of fifths chord wheel. Eagerly awaiting new products. Very happy.

Ok but with flaws.
This is a reasonably well thought out but slightly flawed product by a company that makes good music ‘cheat sheets’.Personally I don’t advocate cheat sheets unless they are used purely to learn and analyse. This one I fear is quite flawed and although it is accurate in terms of the chord, there are a number of problems with it.Firstly, there is no way this will be of any use in learning the fingering of Cordes on guitar or ukulele States the product description. It’s only useful for piano and general musical theory.Secondly, on the inside of the product, The chord charts are actually describing the modes of each key whilst representing the chords based on the positions of each of these. And they are only in the natural keys not in the flats or sharps. There is so much more to this way describing the chords that needs to be said on this chart which of course would make it more complicated. These are also somewhat repeated on the back page but with the flat and sharp keys as well so there is a little bit of information overload and confusion. Also, the top of the inside pages it states “keys & chord progressions”. There are no chord progressions stated here so this can be confusing. The chord formula is also confusing as it only shows the root on the major triad and only shows the third and fifths on the triad not on the seventh so I think this is rather badly notated. On the left of the inside it again refers Indirectly to modes but it took me awhile to figure out that the shape in the top left hand side with major minor and diminished Cordes represents the yellow shaded area in the circle of fifths. This is actually quite clever but it shows a relationship between the major, minor and diminished with no explanation. It is of little use to a student unless they have somebody to explain it to them. It’s good but it did take a little bit of figuring out. I suppose is testimony to the clever design. The cycle of fifths is also quite cleverly done and includes the sharps and flats of the keys around the outside in light grey but again it takes some figuring out to understand the chart.Overall I think there is too much information that takes too long to figure out and would take too much time out of a lesson to explain it.It appears to be aimed at students but needs to be simpler. That said there is a lot of good information in it if you can figure it out.I wouldn’t recommend this product to my students.

Pratique
Ces cartes sont d'un format pratique. Je regrette seulement qu'il n'y ait pas de version pour gaucher, et que les notes soient sous forme de lettres et non pas de notes (do ré mi). Heureusement qu'il y a des sites pour gauchers...

Concise and easy to read
I ordered this product as I am on a personal quest to learn music theory this winter along with the piano. These sheets are very easy to read and follow. I love that they are laminated and should last quite awhile. If you are looking for an easy layout to learn the paino chords, this item won't let you down. It lists major scales, natural minors, harmonic, etc...
