It works straight out of the box. I’m not expecting a lot or using all its capabilities, but it works fine for my purposes. I just bought a second for mo other toolbox.

very nice, needs no additional power source, just plug battery in and see total voltage,press button to see individual cell voltages and comparison, has a balance feature, actually can balance the battery by draining all the cells down to the same level of the lowest one. simple and effective. i got the black one with no backlight
