Really Like
I have purchased numerous bird feeders to keep the squirrels from eating the bird seed and this is the only one that has worked. Also, it makes it easy for the birds to eat as it has a wide, sturdy base on all four sides which makes it easy for their feet to hold on and they can also eat the seed through the mesh sides. I have several others that have landing sides that are either rather sharp or short.

Birds love this feeder
The feeder arrived fully assembled and sturdy. It holds a lot of birdseed. What the birds love about it are the 4 perches on all sides. They flocked to it this morning. It is also pretty and easy to fill. The cord is also strong and closed so when you hang it it can’t fall off if the wind blows it around. I also bought the solar lighted birdfeeder which is beautiful with gorgeous refracted light at night through the mosaic glass. The two together make this section of my yard welcoming for the wild birds.

Impact Resistant...
This feeder itself is very sturdy and survived the impact when it hit the ground. Unfortunately it hit the ground because the cable was not secured and slipped out of the hasp that was supposed to hold it. I am hoping this was because of the weight of the squirrels that kept hanging on it. I believe it can be repaired.I agree with 2 comments. 1. The seeds do become wet in the rain as the roof does not adequately cover the cage. 2. The feeder is made for smaller birds. My cardinals struggle with it and prefer the larger feeders I have.

Very durable - large capacity
This is a great bird feeder. It accommodates most seeds and any bird from the smallest finch to blue jays can feed from it.

Great design, when manufactured properly.
I honestly like this feeder. However, when I took it out of the box, part of the cable slipped out, on the top part. Then the cable slipped out on the bottom part. Asked my husband to fix it, he said the silver things holding the cable were not crimped to hold the cable in. He could not fix it because he said he did not have industrial strength crimpers. Did not want to send it back so I got my super tape and taped the cables to the silver things. So far it is holding nicely. Do like the design.

The birds and I love it; squirrels, not so much
This is my fourth feeder in my front yard, the other three being the traditional long plastic tubes. Those are popular and visited often by many birds ... but squirrels find their way onto them, despite double baffles, positioning strategies, etc. However, this new feeder has two major advantages to squash the tree-rodents' plans.First, this is built like a tank; it is heavier than the plastic tubes and when a squirrel does get on to it, the critter doesn't stay long. I watched one trying to get good purchase on the small tray on the bottom and it lasted only 10 minutes before jumping down. With the tube feeders, it would stay clutched to the feeder for a long time, usually until either the feeder was knocked down, chewed through, or the food depleted. The second advantage to this feeder is the all-metal construction. No more chewing off the perches, the top, or the bottom of the plastic tubes. It just frustrates them to try.The only thing that I found not so great, albeit a minor point, was that the seed tray along the bottom edge does capture water and the holes are not large enough to drain them. Even after a short rain, the seeds clog and if not cleared, start to sprout. It means more cleaning time (a strong hose stream does the job) although the capacity is so large, I spend less time refilling it.

Poor product design
Following over a month of using this feeder, I wish I hadn't purchased it and I'm revising my original review (below).Yes, the metal quality seems good, the feeder is attractive, and birds took to it right away. Then it rains, and you wonder, "Why is the food level in my new feeder remaining the same while I'm refilling the others daily?" Well, it's because the roof on the feeder is small and doesn't cover the edges where the birds feed, coupled with the fact that the drainage holes are so minimal and so tiny, they are essentially useless. So, the entire bottom of the feeder becomes wet and impacted with soggy food. After that, one of two things happens: 1. The sun comes out, and the impacted food bakes so it's really impossible to remove, or 2. It continues to rain and the food becomes nasty and moldy, which is potentially deadly to birds. Then comes the cleaning. You have to dump the unused food out, which is a messy and wasteful process. After that, you need a stick or something thin to dig out the nasty food fused to the entire bottom of the feeder. The four drop-down perches make this extremely difficult, as food gets trapped in the corners and is essentially impossible to remove. When I go through this process, which is often with so much rain this summer, I feel like an ape, on the ground, hunched over a feeder and using a stick as a tool. Then, after all the scraping, you have to hose out the corners and wait for the feeder to dry before refilling it.I hate this feeder. That said, if you are someone who doesn't mind intensive labor involving a cute feeder, this is the one for you. If you plan to hang this under an overhang where the feeder will never be exposed to the rain, this is the feeder for you. As for me, I really resent this feeder and wish I hadn't purchased it.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Usually, when I order a feeder, it takes the birds a few days to adjust. This sturdy feeder was a hit with the birds the moment it was set up. Of course, it was also a hit with the squirrels, though they still eat from the other feeders more often. The thin perch rails will hopefully deter some of the squirrels. The top clip keeps the roof secure. I ordered the green, which I love, in addition to the fact that it's metal. I can't rate it on durability yet, but fingers crossed that it lasts a while. I'm retiring all my plastic feeders since they eventually break and decompose into microplastics and destroy our environment. As a bonus, the Amazon delivery guy was a hoot. We were joking with him, and he was a nice guy.

Indestructible
This bird feeder is seriously made to last many lifetimes. The sheet metal this feeder is made out of is very thick. The expandable top does make it a bit difficult to fill to the top, but you do figure out ways around that issue using your legs and arms. Once rain soaks the seeds in the bottom tray they can harden up making cleaning a bit difficult but soaking the feeder does help. Birds love this feeder, I like the fact it's not cheap or plastic.

Well designed and attractive bridhouse
This birdhouse requires a little bit of assembly in that the two side suet holders are stored inside the birdhouse and have to be attached to the ends by bending four metal cut out tabs. The roof is removed by taking off the handle and then lifting the roof off. It is made out of metal and the design of the deer and area that has been cut out to make a screen around the deer is quite intricate. The metal is finished with a smooth paint, possibly powder coat and has a very nice finish overall. The bird perches fold out from the body and the interior of the feed storage is much like a hopper bottom so that the food is forced down and out to the sides. The outer troughs have 4 small holes drilled to allow any water / rain accumulation that may happen to drain out. The height between the bottom of the roof and the perch is approximately 4.25 inches and the perches extend out from the bottom of the trough 2 inches. So this feeder is suitable for smaller birds such as sparrows, finches, chickadees and smaller birds and is very nice looking and looks better than in the photos in the product description. The finish on the one side of the roof had a wipe mark and some bubbling on it that can be seen in the one photo, but that was the only finished area that had any issues. The metal I’m sure will last a long time, and I’m hoping is rust resistant. However I think they could have used a metal that was a gauge thicker as this metal bends quite easily. If you are looking for a Christmas holiday inspired bird feeder I would definitely recommend this one hoping that the finish issue is only a one off.

Wonderful bird feeder
I like that it holds lots of seed and it’s quite sturdy. When you put your feeder up bring a screwdriver as the loop where you hang it on something was loose and I almost lost all my seed so I grabbed a screwdriver and tightened both sides of the loop holder. I’m gonna buy another

Beautiful bird feeder
This bird feeder looks great in my backyard hanging from my tree. I filled it with wild bird mix and I plan to go out closer to winter and get some suet cakes for them as well. It is made of metal and has drainage holes incase the rain gets inside it. I really like the look and so far the birds are enjoying the bird seed in the yard. My favorite thing to do is to watch the birds at the feeder from my couch and see all the different types that come to visit.

BEST FEEDER EVER!
EASY TO FILL, LOVE THE FACT THAT IT EXPANDS…roof keeps things dry, little perches on each side are great for the swallows and chickadees that visit every day. And it looks cute.

A charming little bird feeder, but the metal is somewhat thin (4.25 stars)
-Very attractive design with a charming deer/caribou motif-I quite like the way it opens up for filling; you just unhook the handle and the roof slides off easily-Fold-out perches are a nice touch-Clip on suet hangers are great, but be sure to fold the retaining tabs in or else they’ll pop off quite easily-A tad smaller than I expected-Not really sure about durability; the metal is a bit thinner than other feeders I’ve had -Feels fairly strong, but I wouldn’t put it anywhere it’s likely to bang into a tree, side of a house, etc.I think $36.99 is a fair price for this feeder, but it still might not be a bad idea to shop around a bit before buying. My rating: 4.25 stars
