Great Little Melting Pot
I bought this for my niece for Christmas as she received a Cake Pop maker for her birthday and a Pancake maker for Christmas. I thought it would be ideal for her to use to melt chocoalte to decorate her Cake Pops and to dribble onto her pancakes. She can use this safely and at the dining table so she's not under her mothers feet in the kitchen! We had great fun at Christmas trying it out.It is so simple to use.I considered buying the double one for myself as I make quite a few cakes, but then it sold out before I had a chance. But then I saw one with interchangeable bowls where you could order the extra bowls, so I ordered that one for myself along with two extra bowls.I think this is a fab piece of equipment.

Does the job
My 9 year old daughter had this for her birthday to go with her cakepop maker. In general it works really well. Very simple to use so perfect for budding young chefs. It melts the chocolate quickly and kept it at a nice runny consistency whilst coating the cakepops. My only slight criticism is that the handle on the inner pot does feel a little flimsy. Not really a major issue but does feel like it would snap if you weren't careful.Haven't tried out the choc moulds yet so can't comment on those.

Great fun!
I bought this for my 10 year old daughter to get her used to cooking as a process, and as a treat for a sleepover! We tested this today and found it was very easy to use. The trick is to keep the spatula flat across the moulds when scraping off the excess chocolate. We used Aldi Choceur milk chocolate (any cheapish chocolate will do) and added Orange extract to a batch which makes it tastes wonderful :)You can brush layers in milk and white chocolate - we used a silicone brush. We also ground some almonds and added to the melted chocolate before putting in the moulds. It was all good!!The moulds are very flimsy and you will need to refrigerate the chocolate before you can pop it out. Next purchase will be further silicone moulds.Washing up - use a bowl of hot soapy water for the moulds and a quick wipe on the base unit. Now looking forward to using this as a chocolate fondue at the sleepover - skewers + strawberries, can't go wrong

It's ok
Works well BUT. It's small, heats up nice and slowly. But the bowl seems to small for the recess it fits in. It's also quite flimsy. The handle bends and I think it may break of. However for the price it' does its job well enough!

Great for Making Edible Gifts
A lovely set, but I would advise serious chocolate-makers to use silicone moulds - which can be bought from Poundland - or for a wider variety of shapes - go to the Lakeland website.I keep my set in a plastic container along with all the moulds - so I can whip up a quick and easy gift at any time.Always keep it simple and just make a few chocolates at a time - perhaps a gift for a hostess or a Mother's Day offering. If you over-stretch yourself, you will not enjoy the process and will rapidly tire of the sight of chocolate! Basic supermarket bars of milk, plain and white chocolate are sufficient to get you started - but for a touch of luxury, you can buy bags of melting chocolate from Thorntons outlets.

Really works....lovely results.
Really love this....never liked melting chocolate before as easily ruined. This works like a dream, and coming with the moulds and all the bits n pieces it was excellent value as a LX. Been thoroughly enjoying making my own chocolates. The chocolate comes out beautifully shiny. Would really recommend. Yes the pot handle seems a bit delicate but with care should last. I had no trouble with it bending but I didn't leave pot on high setting once choc melted or overkill the pot.

DISAPPOINTED.
it seems to be okay, but it's so so small. Would have preferred something much larger. I shall have to continue my hunt for a proper 'home tempering' machine. Think this wilL be passed to the grandchildren!!! DISAPPOINTED.

Parfait pour un usage domestique
Très bon produit. Prend peu de place, se nettoie bien et fonctionne parfaitement pour fondre le chocolat et le maintenir à une certaine température.

lasts forever
I've had mine for over 20 years. Still works great. Wonderful for dipping cookies, chocolate covered nuts chocolate coconut balls etc. Lots of fun!! My daughter in law saw it and asked if she could borrow it sometime so, I ordered one for her. She was very excited and my 12 yo grandson was REALLY excited! FYI, chocolate chips don't do as well as real chocolate.

Perfect
It suits what i need it for. Not huge, about 1 3/4 inch deep, and about 3 1/2 inches across so perfect for making treats for the house without wasting chocolate in a big pot. The double pots are convenient and both work great. The temperature stays steady and i dont have to worry about scorching or over-boiling.The handles are VERY flimsy, but i dont have a problem with that until i wash them. Comes with a lot of candy molds and utensils that i was not aware about so thats a plus. So far i have used this 3 times, ive made chocolate covered strawberries, pretzels and nuts.

Not value for the money spent
Too small containers and you need a stabilizer to step up the voltage and not plain voltage up converter...Indian chocolate melters are better and cheaper option
