Obedience Retrieving Dumbbell with 3" Ends, 3 1/2" Wide Bit and 15/16" Diameter Bit, White, Large

I purchased this for my mini, 12 lb poodle to use in her training class. I took time getting measurements as it is important that the dumb bell fits the dog's mouth well. I like the clean white appearance which is easy to see. It is sturdy (showing no tooth marks) , smooth, and light weight. It has taken some time for my puppy to accept taking something in her mouth. I added a hardly visible smear of peanut butter to entice her.I have learned that the dumb bell provides the introduction in learning to retrieve.I considered a wooden one, but decided that this would be more hygienic and perhaps also longer lasting.

My puppy knows how to get it and bring it back. Recommend

This dumbbell is heavy. I measured my dog’s muzzle to get the correct size and this thing is a tank! She can retrieve it and can “hold” it but I think other than the pretty color I’d prefer one that’s a little lighter in weight. We will use it and hope she doesn’t drop it on my feet!

This is working well in obedience training. She likes it and it fits her well.

Tough, durable, and easy to find if you throw it outside in a moment of singular (and unwarranted) optimism that your dog has the retrieve command down perfectly.

Built to last, light weight, different feel in the dogs mouth, will teach them to carry/hold different objects.

This was a little heavy for my 50# pooch.

I am trying to teach her to pick it up and bring it to me but she thinks it should be a chew toy.The size i got (very small).is perfect for her. She weighs 10 lbs and can't use products designed for larger dogs.
