Works fine for the 2006 Audit A3. There weren't instructions on how to wire it to the existing license plate light, and the original light had a fuse shaped bulb instead of wires. I figured I had another license plate light, so I didn't worry about it. Be careful when drilling the hole for the wires. The plastic case in the car shattered. It's all hidden inside the rear door, so no big deal.

By design, this can only be installed on the left one of the two licence plate lights. When installed, the camera is on the right side of the LED, hence it blocks majority of the light shined over the licence plate, leaving a large portion of the plate in the dark. Also, LED color is bright white, whereas the stock bulb on the right side is a dimmer yellowish light. So you end up with un evenly and inconsistently lit licence plate.Camera worked fine. It's hard to install and run its wiring, but that's to be expected.
