Not as sturdy as a real milk crate, but close! This is the third one I've ordered. I've got two mounted on motorcycles and this third one just for miscellaneous usage. It easily collapses and I regularly use it for small purchases from the grocery store to keep items from sliding around. Crate will hold 2 or 3 plastic grocery store bags worth of items, then the crate makes life a little easier just having to carry in the one crate.

I have a flat rack on the front of my cargo bike for hauling bigger items. I keep this crate strapped on my rack to hold things like a kids backpack, and then collapse the crate when I need to carry something like a travel stroller. It's been great!
