I use this scoop with my counter top ice maker. It is very sturdy and fits perfectly. It is easy to clean and well made. I expect it will be long lasting.

Theoretically, I love this scoop. However, it developed a pit in the center of it (see photo).

My puppy got into the dry food container and instead of eating it all he saw the plastic scoop and thought that it would make a great thing to chew on. See the picture. I saw this scoop and thought it would be perfect. It is, at least as a food scoop. It's just a little bit smaller than the size you can get at pet smart and totally dog proof.This is a solid scoop that you can use for many more things than just dry food. It is solid and well worth the price since I do not see it ever breaking with normal use. Plus it will never rust.

I got this for serving popcorn at our movie party. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this item. It is sturdy metal. It won't bend or break easily and I see this lasting for a long time. There were some flaws where the handle is welded to the scoop itself, but it wasn't so noticeable that I didn't want to use it. The metal is shiny, so over time I am sure it will show some scratching but being steel that will be minimal. The weight is perfect, you don't feel like you will break it like similar plastic scoops! This isn't something that I would consider elegant, but for common use or casual things it is just right.It is the perfect size for household purposes, holding somewhere around 1 1/2 cups (give or take depending on the product) It would be great for dog food, bird seed, flour, etc. It will be a great replacement for plastic scoops that break so easily. The handle is a little small, but unless you are planning on using it for anything heavy duty, it is sufficient. There is a loop to hang it if you want. I found it to be a little difficult to hang though, the angle and size of that loop just didn't work right for me.

I mix my own potting soils and fertilize through a mix of top dressing Dr. Earth/backfilling new soil for most of my plants. I had been using hand trowels and bowls to do these jobs before, but it's really messy indoors. I sort of stumbled on using these dry scoops by accident. I had been storing one that came with my carbon filter with my gardening supply tote when it dawn on me how perfect this shape is for moving and mixing loose fill soil.This one works even better--larger, a bit tougher easier to clean. Nothing at all wrong with it. Just a nice scoop.(Btw, don't shame me on my alocasia. Seems everyone but me wants to kill it...)
