Q: Is the pot hot to touch?

I am not always tactful, so pardon me, but if you put a saucepan on a stove and put heat under it, it becomes hot. This is no different.

Q: Is this good for 2 people or should i look for a smaller quart one this has good reviews and i don't want to spend alot of money on one just for c&c?

It is a good size. If you wanted something just for two people, I would get a smaller one. This product though is great for ant fondue. We did cheese and it was fun!
