Q: Hi I have inserted the camera into my car but it’s got lines running through the screen and jumping can anyone recommend why it might be doing this

I had this issue, and it's just because some cars pulse the reversing light to check it's working. If you email the seller, they'll send you a filter (pretty quickly) and you just wire that in series and it works perfectly. Alternatively, use the reverse light power to close a relay and get a permanent live from elsewhere, but I think that would be more fiddly.

Q: Do the black and red wires need to be soldered or anything similar?

They come with chick block wire joiners. I put a ring connector on the one and just put it in an bolt on the chassis.. then twisted and solders the wire in to they reverse light feed and wrapped it in tape.. literally took 5 mins to do

Q: How does the camera connect to the screen? Do I have to run a cable through my boot to connect it?

It came with a video cable, which used to connect the camera to the screen. Any issues, please send email to service@boscam.club.

Q: Can someone please advise the size of the monitor (without the mount) as I have a spot fairly low in the dash area where I would like to fit it?
