We walk our dogs on a regular basis. We needed a big umbrella to protect the walker and at least partially the dog in bad weather like heavy rain, etc.This umbrella seems quality built though it has not been through a windstorm yet. Windstorms usually will separate the average umbrella from the good to great umbrella.Some things I liked about this umbrella:1) The tip is a rubber like material. That way you are very unlikely to scratch hardwood, vinyl plank, and other flooring with the tip accidentally.2) The handle is firm but spongy. For me, hard grips are not as easy to hang on to.3) It comes with a cover and the handle on the cover is pretty big. For most people you should be able to sling this umbrella on your back or side and carry it that way until it is needed.Why only 4 stars then?This umbrella is a double layer one which makes it more complex mechanically than a single layer umbrella. That is fine, but the reason you have a double layer umbrella is to promote air flow between the first and second layer. However the spacing between the first and second layer is so small that I don't think much air will circulate through the small gap.I have another double layer umbrella and the gap is 3-4 times wider which allows more air flow.

this umbrella is great but I expected it to be open/close. That is what I was lead to belive when I read the information on the time.
