Jos & Haz Ceiling Curtain Track Set – 3ft-13ft / 4 Meter – Premium Heavy Duty Curtain Track, Ceiling Mount and Wall Mount for Room Divider, Living Room, Bedroom, Office

We mounted the track to the wall and the ceiling for two different areas of our RV. Both installations were super easy and straight forward. I do recommend going to the product page in Amazon and watching their provided installation video. It presents installation as easier to understand.You can use the hooks provided by the track system or that come with your curtains to hang your curtain as high or low as you like depending on how visible you want the track to be or not be. I personally didn't want the track to be visible for a more modern, minimalist look.

Pros:Extremely easy to installIncludes two wall and ceiling mounts per segmentRunners glide very well and are relatively quietEnd caps include stationary loops to hook the curtain onto, which prevent movement on the sides when desiredMetal brackets use spring-loaded locks to easily mount or dismount the railWall mount hugs pretty close to the wall which helps prevents much of the light from escaping through the topComes with 16x runners, 8x for each segment, which should be perfect for properly sized width of panels.Blocks more light then both the vertical blinds and the same curtains hanging in front of them that this replaced, thanks to it being closer to the wall and allowing better overlap.Cons:The joiner's set screws are a bit shorter than I'd prefer and it only mounts to the top-exterior rather than top-interior+exterior so you can't torque it down and tighten it as much as I'd like; However I don't believe it will effect it's use or durability over time.I wish it came with more runners so I could use a wider curtain or even to have as extras in-case one gets damaged over-time.Runners are metal with plastic wheels. This helps cut down on noise but if used outside on a porch, I'm not sure how the plastic will hold up over time with the changing seasons and humidity.It's original 'retail' packaging isn't adequate to prevent the mounting hardware from coming into contact with the rails. This led to a couple of scratches on the track. Thankfully the other side only had a very small scratch that will never be seen so I just turned it around.Other Thoughts:I have a sliding glass door to the back porch and when I moved into the home it came with vertical blinds. I absolutely hate them... The plastic blinds break over-time and this issues is greatly accelerated when you have dogs lol.I had used curtain hooks to hang two panels over-top the blinds to help block more light and to reduce the dogs interests in looking through them. This was no-where near being a perfect solution as the curtain couldn't slide easily and it added alot of extra weight to the decorative plastic cover. I did try the trick of removing the blinds and using the curtain hooks to mount the curtains to the existing blind's runners but this wasn't ideal as the combined weight of the curtain and the thickness of the hooks allowed them to pull out when trying to slide the curtain over.I wanted to block as much light as possible and looked everywhere for a flush-mount curtain track. Sadly I couldn't find one. I could simply modify one by drilling through the side of the track and mounting it against the wall, but this wasn't ideal for me as I wanted to retain the ability to easily remove the track when needed.This Jos & Haz came with the most flushed installation I could find without modification or spending far more than it's worth. The wall mounts hold the track only 26mm from the wall on the closest side and 52mm on the furthest. This puts the curtain approximately 36mm from the wall which helps prevent a ton of light-leakage through the top.To help prevent as much light coming through as possible, I overlapped the curtains by one runner where each curtain panel shares two runners. This worked wonderfully! the only light making it through the blackout curtains are along the edges. I can fix the sides by just using some Velcro or other mounting method to hold the curtains to the wall when needed and the bottom can be fixed by repositioning the hooks as I have an extra 4" of length to work with.The dark picture taken of the track and curtains in-use was used with the best aperture and ISO to accurately represent what I'm seeing in-person. Although the focus is terrible, the lighting is on-point.Overall I'm extremely happy with this purchase and easily recommend it to others. Just keep in-mind that if you need to shorten the length of the rails that they will have to be cut with a hacksaw, dremel, angle grinder or whatever you favorite method of cutting metal is ;)The build quality isn't the best you can get but it's a very good value for the price and it will last for many, many years.

Very easy to install. We bought bigger screws since our curtain is heavier than usual.

I do not like the hooks they sent for the curtains because its not universal.But overall its good quality and they do slide curtains pretty easy the only problem is they’ve gotten stuck on the part where you connect the rack. But its not a big deal to me , overall its great and will purchase another

I am in the process of building a voice recording station and given my space, needed to reduce noise via curtains, but wanted them on a track. I ordered this track and am not disappointed. The packaging is simple but does the job. Included are the rail parts, decent instructions, and hardware to mount either from a wall or ceiling. I utilized the ceiling hardware, although I swapped in stronger anchors (75 lb E-Z Anchors). I had everything up in about 30 minutes and am happy with how it turned out.The rail sections are pretty well built. They will torque a little if the connector is overtightened, but don't do that. The ring trolleys are simple but work. Please note that after installing them, if the rail is flipped vertically, it is possible for the trolleys to get twisted up inside the rail (I know because it happened to me). I was able to fix them pretty easily though. Once the 4 ceiling brackets are in place, the rail just clips in. While it can slide in the clips, the tension seems enough to stay in place when sliding the curtain. The curtains slide freely with only a very minor bump at the rail join point in the middle. Overall, this rail feels very solid, especially with upgraded anchors. I wouldn't hang off of the curtains, but for reasonable use, I expect no problems. I'm very happy with this and would buy this again.

I bought the 16’ set for a large sunroom window-wall. I first attempted to hang them from a ceiling bracket on a 2x6 that ran the length of the window. That was a pain in the arse! When I realized the wall brackets were a separate item in the box…game changer! The 16’ track went up in 15 minutes. In fact, I turned around and added another large set and a medium set to cover the other windows and sliding glass door.Pros:Super simple to install. (Note: the ceiling wasn’t impossible, just difficult by yourself.)Rollers slide like buttah.Extension plates keep an even flow of the track.Easy to cut. (I used a hand saw.)Cons:It needs screws on top of the brackets to keep the track in place. (I’m contacting them to see if there’s something I missed.)Ceiling Mount is a little cumbersome.The screws to hang them are a bit flimsy. I broke the head off of two of them by over tightening them. (Sure, operator error but still….)Hacks:If you’re doing several small windows get the large set and add a couple end caps, rollers and hooks to get more bang for your buck.Put the brackets on the rail to get a straight line. (This is where the ceiling mount is a pain…the hole is behind the track and you have to trust your measurements….I was working in a room that had ZERO straight lines/edges or true squares. Lol).I would definitely recommend these. In fact, I bought two of the 16’ sets and one of the 6’ to do an entire sunroom.
