Introducing the Story Behind our Whiskey Barrel-Aged Coffee (The Man Behind the Brand) Our grandfather Charles Ray, the namesake of our coffee company once was a struggling alcoholic that loved to add whiskey into his coffee in the mornings. Before he decided to go to rehab for his alcoholism, he wanted to finish his last bottle with his coffee. Once he finished the bottle, he volunteered to go to treatment. After treatment, he told his story of alcoholism to anyone that would listen, including from the pulpit of the church. He was a struggling alcoholic and a pastor as well. Our concept symbolizes his love for adding whiskey to his coffee in the past. The aging process of the coffee in whiskey barrels represents his journey of personal growth and transformation.
