Wheatgrass is made from the young shoots of the wheat plant, known as the cotyledons. Wheatgrass contains chlorophyll, amino acids, minerals, vitamins and enzymes that have been shown to have numerous health benefits. Our wheatgrass is dried at low temperatures before being turned into a powder and shipped to us where we lovingly package it for you. Wheatgrass has a long history of use, with historians documenting references dating as far back as the ancient Egyptian Empire. Modern wheatgrass consumption began in the 1930's after Dr F. Schnabel researched the healing properties of the plant. There are over 4,700 varieties of the plant and it has been lauded as one of the most beneficial superfoods available.
