A lot Smaller than I thought it would be I don't know what I can make with all these tiny little bits and pieces the only good thing about it is I gotta handle to go on my needles.

I'm a self-proclained fiber artist who loves spinninf, weaving, knitting and felting. My daughter and I enjoy needle-felting together. There's something about repeatedly jabbing a miniature model into formation that is oddly satisfying and relaxing. We ordered this kit so that we could enjoy felting without all the work of custom dyeing we usually do. This kit is meant for the beginner and contains almost everything needed to create gorgeous models.It contains forty-five lovely hues of wool. The tiny plastic bags are deceptive. Once the wool is out of the bag, it expands to a generous quantity. When weighed, I consistently found each individual bag to contain at least three grams of fiber. It also contains multiple felting needles, two leather thimbles, a pair of snips, and multiple findings including glass eyes.The quality of the wool is decent. It felts fairly easily. It seems to be a medium grade wool similar to corriedale. Each color is consistent throughout and doesn't bleed. The fibers are strong and don't easily break. They make a lovely, "ping" when pulled taut, indicating the fiber came from healthy animals. There is a woolly scent to the fiber. It's not very strong, but it smells a bit like a ram got into the flock. I noticed it most when I first opened the set, but it quickly dissipated, as the wool aired out.If I were to add anything to this kit, it would be a foam mat and a quantity of core wool so that the colored wool could be reserved for the outermost layers of projects. Otherwise, this is a fantastic set at a great value for new needle felters.
