Amazingly detailed and beautiful set for display
First, this set is definitely for an experienced builder. It includes more than 5000 micro bricks sorted into 21 bags, so this is a project that will challenge even experienced builders. But, that said, it's definitely worth the effort. The zoo is beautifully detailed, with ponds, a traditional pagoda, an elevated walkway, and lots of trees and flowers. As for animals, there are 6 flamingos, 2 giraffes, and 2 pandas - all built from tiny micro-bricks.Even the instruction book is beautiful, featuring slick, glossy pages and full-color illustrations. The bricks are sorted into numbered bags, and the contents of each bag have been sorted by color. This is very helpful when building because micro-bricks are very tiny and it's easy to lose track of the pieces even in a sorting tray. My tip: It helps to have them sorted into bags with same or similar color bricks, and when working on builds with micro-bricks, I leave the bricks in the bags. I cut the top corner to make it easy to get to the pieces, but I don't mix them all up on my building tray anymore because it can be complicated and time-consuming to resort them while building. The box is beautifully illustrated and this would make an excellent gift for a serious builder.

Missing pieces:(
Missing pieces and since I bought it way before Christmas I can’t swap it out. Totally bummed, especially as they’re on the first layer. My son, who’s built five of these now, is rather unhappy. This is the first set that has had missing pieces.

missing Multiple Bags of pieces.
Was a promising build. My S/O went to start her Valentine present and found out we are missing multiple bags. Only on page 2. They are supposed to be shipping and getting us a whole new one. Will update when it arrives.

Complex, but satisfying and well engineered
Mini builds aren't usually my favorite, but this is a really good one. It's not a beginner set and it does take some major fine motor skills because of how small the pieces are. The bags of pieces were segmented by letter grouping, which was helpful. The pieces fit together perfectly and everything was well engineered. Sometimes I'd just get into a roll of working step by step and it was fun to pull back after a while to see it gradually turn into a zoo. I wish I had taken pictures along the way. The directions were mostly good with two small exceptions. There were times that the angle pictured made certain pieces hard to discern. I would then put those on last so I could see what was left and figure it out from there. This didn't happen a lot, though. My other complaint was how some of the colors looked in the booklet. They weren't completely accurate so it took some time to get used to what color piece I should be using. Overall, I really enjoyed this set. I'll warn you that the final group is all the flowers and animals. The flowers do get a little tedious, but not difficult. This was a very satisfying build and I absolutely love it.

Many hours of fun, adorable zoo animals
This zoo took me about 30 hours to complete and the end result was great! The animals and the tiny people are very cute and the whole scene has a lot of detail, even down to the rocks and the flowers on the trees. The package came with several labeled packs of blocks and a large instruction booklet which has detailed pictures. The materials were good quality and I didn’t have any issues with broken/defective or missing pieces. In fact there were plenty of spare pieces leftover once I was done building so I didn’t have to worry when I inevitably dropped a few pieces on the floor. This is definitely a more challenging build, due to having 5,000 pieces and smaller parts that have to be put together, like the flowers on the trees. I recommend having a pair of tweezers, some sort of organizer (like a bead organizer) to keep the smallest pieces organized, and a good light source so you can easily see what you’re doing.

This will take a while :)
So we've gotten really into working on these larger more intricate building block projects as a family. If you have a designated table or workspace it can work out really well to keep it out for days or even weeks as the whole family comes and goes working on it as they please. It creates a team building situation and an opportunity to just sit and talk while you work towards the same goal. It's satisfying and a healthy alternative to TV. This particular set will take a long time but that's what I like about it. It looks like it will be a super cool looking build and so far no problems with any of the pieces. They are all well made and detailed. The quality is great and I appreciate the interesting design. I recommend it and suggest giving it a try with your family, loved ones or even by yourself if you're up for a challenge!
