Great even for competitive gaming
It's definitely superior to cheaper WiFi dongles, worth the price for anyone who needs good connection with a minimal lag.I did break wifi antenna in my laptop and needed some workaround to stay online. Initially I've tried some cheaper and smaller dongle, but the lag was too big to play competitive games like Counter Strike.Since I've switched to this Nighthawk, I'm not having any connectivity problems and I can play whatever I want. It was easy to install all requirement pieces (also offline). The device is quite big, but it's getting impressive results. I'm a few meters from the router and I'm getting above 500Mbps out from my 1Gbps router, which is probably the most you can get with any WiFi. The device can be opened to increase the WiFi reach, but I'm having it closed all the time (like on the picture) and it's still awesome.

My Wi-Fi speed doubled immediately. So easy to set up.
I’m not one for writing reviews, however, this Netgear A8000-100PES Wi-Fi adapter has blown me away. For the past couple of years, I’ve used several adapters ranging from £10-£30 and all without exception have performed poorly. So I decided to bite the bullet and splash out a lot more than I usually would on this Netgear one. All I can say is that it is worth every penny. My Wi-Fi speed doubled immediately. So easy to set up, and the product is much more sturdy than other makes. I highly recommend this product.

WHY did I procrastinate sp long? It's Beyond GREAT!
The media could not be loaded. Finally, a Wi-Fi Adapter That Actually Delivers!I've gone through countless Wi-Fi adapters, especially those cheap, no-name Chinese ones. They've all been a complete waste of money – broken within weeks, frustratingly slow speeds, and unreliable connections. I've had maybe one or two that were just "okay," but nothing special. Then I tried the NETGEAR Nighthawk, as I've been thinking about It for months, but It's always been wayyyy to expensive, but, 2 days ago It was on offer at 33% off, so I pulled the trigger!.Wow. Just wow. This adapter has completely blown my mind. From the moment I opened the box, the packaging felt premium and well-designed.The Adapter looks the part, feels extremely durable. The usb 3.0 cradle/mount Is absolutely built like a brick...you know what! Also, I was quite surprised when I also pulled out a usb flash drive, with the drivers on p VERY Impressed.Setup was simple and extremely fast.I'm trying my best here to not go over the top, but, I'm sorry - THIS ADAPTER IS FANTASTIC!Other no-name adapters would be slow and fluctuating between1-2 bars, with regards to signal strength, especially on GHz.....but this Netgear Nighthawk Is FULL bars, full signal on 2.4, 5 and 6ghz!But the real test was performance, and it passed with flying colors. The signal strength is a solid 10/10 – I'm getting a rock-solid connection even in the farthest corners of my house. The speed is also a perfect 10/10 – lightning-fast downloads and smooth streaming. I honestly didn't think a It could be this good, but It was MUCH better than I expected!

Expensive USB 6e dongle
So I bought this device as my tp-link USB dongle was getting speeds of under 100 or just over 100 and I have a 900mb line. I paid £74 think it was for this which for a dongle I thought was a bit much but I am not getting the speeds that they say you can get on this device on the 5ghz band. I am getting on average anywhere from 180 to 500 usually sitting on average at the 400 mark. My router is in the same room as the PC about 4m away so in terms of line drop etc should not matter that much in that distance. I made sure to go into the Windows TCP setting and change the preferred frequency to 5ghz but it really made no difference. Overall though in comparison to my TP Link, I am happier with the much higher speeds and stability. It comes with a cradle and a USB drive that has the drivers to install. Install process was simple and easy to complete. I used the cradle function to lift it from behind the PC to sit on top of my work desk. I think at £74 it is expensive for what speed you are getting and as I said I am not getting anywhere near the speeds the manufacturer advises is possible.

Works out of the box on Linux
Works out of the box on Linux, which is more than can be said for most USB WiFi adapters.Speed is good, can pick up a reasonably strong signal from the router downstairs in an old house, when placed in the right position. It is not the most compact WiFi dongle, but the stand it comes with mitigates this, and it is well worth having something larger if it means getting a good signal.

Fabulous
Fabulous. Now getting the speeds I am paying for. Some 16 times greater than the cheaper one I was using.

Smoothest wireless adapter I have found.
It was 100% worth the investment. I wanted to make sure that I could have the smoothest gameplay experience possible, without ping spikes, without connecivity issues and this gives me exactly that. My router isn't the strongest, and this gives me the range I need to keep the gaming smooth.Signal strength is awesome. From upstairs it is honestly amazing. I am getting 600Mbps upstairs and it's pretty far from the router. Luckily the router is free from intereference so this might play a factor. I tested with many games and overall the latency is almost always stable, never really get any dropouts, packet loss or lag. I am so happy with it at the moment. The size of it is probably a reason why it performs so well. It's not one of those dodgy ones with only a low quality Realtek driver in it. It's actually awesome. I am going to recommend this to some of my family members, because this is honestly one of the best WiFi adapters I have tried. It's so much better than my Internal adapter, and that one does 6 Ghz too. Maybe it's an Intel problem lol.I recommend this for gaming, if you want something stable and something that doesn't lag. The big antenna is definitely something you want to consider.
