Buy this bike it is well worth it
I have had this bike since the end of October 2024 the gotrax r1 and let me just start by saying this is hands down the best ebike I have come across as far as value for money !!! I have put well over 1000 miles on this bike and it gets around 20 miles per charge on throttle only mode. It is user friendly and I remember when I got it the instructions were very clear and it was an easy to put the wheel in it came with tools as well. Let's talk about features this bike comes with a 48 volt battery up tested might I add making it acceptable anywhere that usually does not accept lithiom ion battery's as well as giving the user peace of mind (no one wants there ebike to become a suicide bomb so that alone is a huge reason to buy this bike it has 5 speed settings which are customizable in the program menu for peddle assist throttle is not effected by the pedal assist settings.moving onto speed this bike easily does 20 in full throttle and have gotten it to go 35 down hills there was no worry or speed wobble at those speeds and I was very happy with the balance and overall handling. The battery can be charged in or out of the bike and it comes with two keys for the battery and one charger which comes with a voltage regulator. The customer service of this company is unmatched I unfortanly had an accident on this bike about 4 weeks back now in which I cracked the screen it was my fault for being on my phone with one hand I have since got a phone holder but the craziest part with the screen cracked and I mean CRACKED PIECES LITTERALLY MISSING it still turned on and worked up until I replaced it with the new screen. Go trax does a two year warranty and all I had to do to get my new parts was to contact them via email to submit my claim including a picture of the problem as well as my order receipt number which is very easy to find on amazon. I must say as I use this bike every day I am so very thankful to the go trax support team for there quick response to my claim and getting the parts shipped under warranty completely free of charge! They really honor and value there customers which is rare for a company nowadays and I will most definitely be purchasing from them in the future I already have my eye on an electric dirt bike they make and am currently saving for it. i use this bike for Uber eats and for commuting to and from work so this has been a game changer as far as not having to take care of a car pay gas prices insurance registration or inspection fees. The only con I can add to this review is that after about 3 months of use the screen had a bug where when I would turn on the bike it would do its normal count up and countdown but instead of the display coming on normally it would default to the settings menu and wouldn't let me exit. I called Amazon support and they contacted go trax who said theyd replace the bike under warranty. Being that I use this to commute I didn't want to wait for the time it would take to ship a new one and decided to see if there was a way to fix the big myself. I spent almost two hours string different things but I finally figured it out and the bug also never left that screen but to anyone who may have the same issue you just turn on the screen like normal and on the control buttons on the top right above the light button when the number gets to 9 on the count up you press and hold and it will exit that screen to the normal display and function as normal. So even the only con I can list turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I realized no one could steal the bike if they had the chance because no one knew about the bug and how to exit the screen it was like having my own little extra security. Fortunately the new screen looks and works just fine I'll end this review by saying I highly recommend this and any gotrax product to someone who is looking for a product that will last and be confident about the performance thank you again gotrax for this wonderful bike and the aMazing customer support

Woohoo, that was 1 fast ride! Sexy, rugged, perky throttle, disk brakes, aluminum, GOES up hill!
First Ebke ever! Wow, this baby, the R1, model, flies and feels like a real, rugged bike! I love the design, sporty, foldable, at 45lbs fits in my trunk, not chunky in the wrong places, not too small or too large, not hard to ride and very perky when using the throttle. This is my first throttle in my whole life....last night I finally understood the throttle and how it works when I was slowly hesitantly going down the street, turned the throttle just a bit and sped up fast from not moving to 11 miles per hour in what seemed minutes! YES! It was so exhilarating I can't wait to do it again but am very aware, this is no toy. I am a 5 "7 inch 65 yr old active woman who rides a regular bike but bought this bike to keep up with my other half who at 6 "1.5 and 67 rides all over my town, up and down bridges daily for hours. Sometimes I can do all that, sometimes I can't, definitely not the super windy Hillsboro bridge by me, more than once, on a regular bike. This is for those days. Sadly, I got a nail in one tire and am kind of freaking out since, I see that my punctured bike tube measures 20 x 2.60 is not common and I am not sure which one to buy. However, this bike has a "walk" feature which is the BEST feature to have, when you get stuck! AND now that I know that I am sure glad I have that! Flat tires do happen.I am not a bike aficionado, so I am not quite sure what to add but I do know it has 1 gear which as of right now is no problem, this baby climbs bridges easily with some assist, hard to believe at 350 watts, but no problem. I will not be riding 19 miles an hour, but I see now, with the throttle and added effort, that would be ez to do. The back rack is a rugged well-built extra and a nice added freebee since it looks exactly like the $26 rack I added to a bike this year. The seat is fine, padded and comfy but I may add a wider gel padded seat some day. Disk brakes, on a bike? Yes please! Ok, so your flying down a bridge and wondering, holy cow, I sure hope my brakes work and that I am not thrown 30ft into oblivion when I stop. no problem, these are great DISC brakes! On a bike, nice! The headlight and brake lights are perfect for me, although I do prefer a larger front headlight and a custom horn since I live in Florida where loud bike horns are a must. Remember the are you listening now commercial? Assume when your on a bike, any bike, if your in Fla. that no one is listening, it's safer plus today? While everyone is hot headed about either chicken, politics, seaweed, weed or the addition of pickleball courts, well you can never feel too safe about who sees your or hears you on your bike because truth is, seems like everyone is distracted so...buy yourself a BIG horn and be safer. This bike was put together in 20 min., snap, snap, clip, plug in the nice pedals. And you're out the door! Don't wait...I waited 2 years and I thought for under $600 surely, I would get a good-looking but solid cheap steel garbage Ebke! No! It is not steel except for the wheel fenders, the rest is mostly aluminum, it does not look like a cheap bike and that ride? Wow, it felt so free and exciting, I honestly can't wait to do it again! Now...about that flat tire??
