It was very easy install for an access door worth of money good quality

I bought this to replace a lockset after the weather-exposed knob came off because it's spring-loaded catch failed due to corrosion.The old lockset is believed to be a Yale from 1994 (the latch says Yale, and the inter-knob portion is merely stamped "1994. 8" ...). The build of the old one is more substantial (mainly the handles), but I expect the Rulart to function for quite a while. I'm glad to have an economical option based on an old design.The parts picture shows the contents of the Rulart box on the left (it arrived practically fully assembled), with the old lockset mirrored on the right. Note the strike plate looks bad because of a removable protective plastic film on it.I was unable to reuse my old threaded rose due to a thread mismatch. I did not attempt to reuse the non-threaded rose. I did reuse my old latch.Removing the keyed knob was difficult; mount the lockset to the door at least temporarily before following the directions. It may not be necessary to remove keyed knob for your installation.This lockset doesn't seem designed to be rekeyed. If anyone identifies the keyway or attempts to get more keys made, please leave a comment.The outside does seem like some type of stainless steel, as it did not attract a magnet. Note however that most of the stainless steel is on top of steel (with a rust-inhibiting coating), so most surfaces do attract a magnet.In all cases: egress is permitted, ingress is permitted with the key, a depressed lock button means ingress requires the key, and a "popped out" button means ingress does not require the key.Despite the flat lock button, this lockset actually does support 2 modes. If you only depress the lock button, then it will pop back out when the interior knob is turned (unlocking the exterior knob and thus preventing a locked-out scenario). Alternatively, you can (with difficulty) depress the button while simultaneously rotating it 90 degrees clockwise. In this mode, turning the interior knob does not cause the button to pop back out (so ingress will still require the key). I think its quite unlikely that this latter mode could be activated accidentally.

It served the purpose for which I bought this. To lock my kid's toys so they are not all over the house. It did a great job. However, I have a concern regarding its quality, which is the reason for my 4 stars. I have had this lock for 3 days with normal use, time will say how it will hold to daily wear and tear from kids trying to break in.

Easy put together ! Absolutely love

The doorknob itself seems fine. It looks beautiful and works wonderfully...... But the instructions are LESS than useless and I’m beyond frustrated. The instructions read simply, and the pictures seems helpful for instal purposes but they skip a step entirely when it comes to the mounting plate it says tighten screws... not remove them from the body, separate from the plate and re-screw into the body of the knob. The final most important step that secures the entire knob so it doesn’t shift or wiggle is entirely absent from the instructions and pictures, making a simple job a nightmare.While I like the knob the hassle of the instructions being incomplete did nothing to make likely to recommend this product. I recommend buying a knob at Lowe’s or home depo where the instructions are much more clear.

Excellent door knob with a lock I got it for my front door because I broke my door knob this was very easy to install well worth the money it comes with the keys this works excellent very sturdy well worth the money highly recommend if anybody’s looking for a nice quality door knob as will work on whatever you needed to work on this is very high-quality

I have put together electronic locks, equipment, shelves, and other indoor knobs. I work with my hands constantly and most things come easy and are finished in a few minutes for me. This knob took an hour of fiddling, barely fit in my door, and when it finally did work a family member closed it with no one in the room and it locked with the keys inside. I then had to get a ladder and breach my room like Seal Team 6 because my new puppy was upset that he had been alone for over an hour. It it fine for what it costs and I don't really complain about products but sheesh.

Good knob for the price.

Installed everything. Took a few hours because the instructions weren’t the clearest on taking things apart and putting them together. On top of that once everything was finished finally, it only locks from the inside. On the outside, the keys are useless they do not lock at all, they only unlock however locking the door does not work it just twists. Not sure if there is something wrong with the one I received but it’s no good.

I had the one where you twist to lock the door before, but thought I'd give the button type a try. It makes a loud clicking noise when you lock the door unlike the twisting type. To get the lock button to remain pressed, you had to keep the locked button pressed and rotate it like 90 degrees. It's very hard to perform this rotation with the button pressed in. Aside from that, the lock works as expected.

This lock has a good quality and very easy to install that is the only reason I didn't give them one star. But didn't work for me. I bought this lock for entry door as it has advertised. But you can not lock the door with key from outside. The key can just unlock the door from outside. The lock button from inside must be pushed in and turn to keep the door lock. Other wise if just push the button inside, as soon as you shut the door. The door will automatically unlock. The button has no tail or something to grab and turn it. You have too turn it with finger which is very hard. For sure button needs to be redesigned other wise it can use as passage.
