Great for beginners, short and to the point with good examples
40 years ago I started with Basic. 25 years ago I started learning HTML.Now I decided to learn Python and bought this book. Following it systematically I learned how to install Python, and then PyCharm. Before I knew it I was programming Python. The book is really good for beginners, and is not several hundred pages which may seem overwhelming and discouraging.Highly recommended

Simple start but not the full guide i needed
I picked this up to see if I could finally understand Python after trying a few tutorials and this book made it feel less scary. The early chapters were clear and had examples that made sense, but it moved fast and skipped deeper details I still needed. It felt more like an overview than a real 7-day plan. One part about loops finally clicked for me though and that made it worth it. It’s a good intro but I’ll need more practice from other sources to really learn it.

Far too basic
This book is far too simplified to be of any practical use. There needs to be a lot more detail and more complicated applications and examples. I think its designed to be read cover to cover rather than dipping in and out to learn specific topics. That's fine if you want to appreciate what Phyton is about but not much use if you are to develop some skill using the language. There is not even an index at the end.

Fundamental Issues
I bought this with high expectations given the positive reviews but have decided to return it after encountering the following basic errors. Best case scenario these are off-putting, worst case they make points difficult to understand or even false.1. Typos and spelling mistakes. This includes a missing word on the back cover and a sentence stopping dead in It’s tracks.2. Acronyms never expanded, or expanded after they have been introduced earlier3. Poor English, sometimes to the extent that the meaning is completely changed and is false. “All numerical values are not integers” is written instead of what the writer must have meant: “Not all numerical values are integers”.4. References to variables that don’t exist in examplesAdditionally, after the first chapter the book gives you exercises that involve concepts it has not introduced, and there are no answers provided.
