The Previous Generation Improved Upon Hugely
I am not what I'd consider an audiophile... but I do care quite a bit about what I consider "sound quality". most of what i listen to are MQ files downloaded on deezer (fiio m11plus) or the entire collection of nin live audio files (also on the same device). i switch around headphones, preferring over-ear for the best quality and comfort, but the bluetooth earbuds for convenience and forced isolation when out in public.i love these headphones. i had the previous iteration... and they rocked. but they wouldn't connect with my dap unless i used the adaptor cable (annoying) and, besides, they went through the washing machine.these sound great, fit well (i usually can;t even wear earbuds - the "best" earbuds, the sony-you knows?. so uncomfortable... same with the apple ones)... hell, they are downright comfortable, maybe even a little more so than their predecessors. they are beautifully made, have that nice expensive feel.As previously stated, i'm not an expert, so the following reviews are more or less based on my personal preferences (loud "music" that sounds like noise to philistines, rock, classical, old school hip hop, really old country, and a few real oddball items)... Mostly stuff that, well, all of it requires completely different "flavors" of headphone tonality: the P2 does a truly excellent job at a lot of what i ;iisten to (lucky for me it does best with the EDM/industrial/rock/OSHH; my faves), a completely passable job on almost everything else, and a somewhat mediocre job on stuff like classical, mostly because this is a bass-heavy, ckear and piercing highs, occasionally buried mids AND suffers from an inability to get loud enough, expecially wrt certain frequencies. The quality of your audio device makes a real difference. These sound buttery and smooth with my fiio, but even when i FINALLY got them to bind with my astell&kerns (2) they sounded kind of weak, to tell the truth. Buuuuuut everything else, pretty much, sounded great with these suckers, including my phonea (samsung z fold 2 and 12 pro iphone).i'd say go for 'em.

Bowers & Wilkins Disappoints
I own the B&W Wedge and the Px7 S2e, both are great. The Pi5 S2 earbuds are not. I've owned or listened to many of the top 'buds on the market, and these fall among the worst. In brief, here's why:*Noise cancellation: Hiss! It's very pronounced when no music is playing, and very distracting when there are lulls in or pauses of music. How, in 2023, B&W allows so much audible hiss in $350 ear buds is appalling. No excuse for this.*Sound quality: Mediocre, at best. With NC on, the sound is exaggerated, bloated even. With NC off, the sound is lean, thin, skinny...you get my point. Because the app has no equalizer, you're stuck with either fat or skinny. Again, for $350, and for a company that prides itself first and foremost on sound quality, B&W failed badly here. While soundstage and instrument/vocal separation are excellent, I have earbuds that sell for under $100 that sound better, overall.*The app: Why B&W would release an app with almost no customization or flexibility for a high-end audio device is perplexing. The app does only the very basics, like turning NC on and off, and a paltry few other necessary adjustments. The absence of an equalizer is a huge, and inexcusable miss. Ambient Sound or Transparency are barely adjustable. Spatial audio? Forget about it. I wouldn't buy these earbuds simply because the app is all but useless.*Comfort: As others have complained, these buds feel crammed in. Long listening sessions would be painful. These buds aren't very comfortable (at least, in my ears).Battery Life: A joke. After less than five minutes of listening, the battery went from 100% to 92%. No way, they'll come close to the claimed 16 hours. Again, how can B&W charge $350 for 'buds that, at best, last a couple of hours before needing to be recharged. With so many other better earbuds available--and many for less than these, there's no reason to recommend the B&W Pi5 S2. They appear well-built, but that's all they have going for them, in my opinion.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!👎👎👎👎👎
🤬 Ok where do I start 🤔? Ok I was very excited getting these headphones! I thought they were going to be the best headphones I've ever bought but after a couple of days with them I very learn quickly that these are the worst headphones I've ever had The sound is okay I thought it was going to be way better I think because of the company but the worst thing about these headphones is definitely the battery life I mean you let it charge all day you put them on 30 minutes later they're already dying and I just don't understand why the best sounding company in the world can make something so terrible I mean this is a joke and then look how much they charge for these f****** headphones to robbery!

Don’t last long.
The sound quality is good and the noise cancellation works well. However, the connection is iffy and it will often glitch or disconnect from your phone. The connections for the earbuds to the case also wear out quickly causing the earbuds to not charge properly. Wearing them for long can also cause some discomfort as they are rather large earbuds. Ultimately I don’t think they are worth the price. My right earbud stopped working entirely within a few months of owning. The longevity of these is not worth what you pay. I was really hoping they would be good :(
