Tight fit, but it works!
I have a cold brew carafe and filter that I've used for ages to make iced coffee, but these fine mesh bags are so much easier and take up almost no space at all. I found that the recommended 100g of coffee grounds is a tight fit for these bags, though. I had to pack it pretty well but I was able to get all the coffee in and tie the bag shut. After that I just submerged it in filtered water and popped it in the fridge. I can see using these bags for iced teas as well, and I like that the bags are disposable so I don't have to worry about flavors being affected by previous brews. I will be using these a lot as we get into the summer months.

Makes Cold Brew so Simple
I have been making cold brew coffee for a couple of years now, and generally end up making a bit of a mess while pouring the coffee and grounds through the cheesecloth and strainer when finished brewing. Grounds end up going kind of every which way. And I know there are pots made specifically for the purpose of making cold brew. But I did not want ANOTHER gadget in my kitchen. These are a fantastic answer. I don't feel as though I am churning through earth's resources, and I have been adding the used bags into the compost so I don't feel terrible about adding to landfill. I fill the bag to the brim with coarsely ground coffee, throw the full bag into a mason jar, add cold water and let it "brew" for 24 hours or so. Voila - delicious cold brew coffee concentrate! My only reservation is that each bag does not hold a ton of coffee - certainly less than a cup of grounds. So you may need to use several if you are making a lot of cold brew coffee concentrate all at once. Thus the 4/5 instead of 5/5. For me, they are the perfect size as I am the only one who prefers cold brew to hot coffee. And I like to make it fresh every 4-5 days so it is "fresh." For me, they are perfect!

Great for making Thai tea
Unlike regular tea holders that smaller Thai tea pieces can easily go through, this type of tea bags can easily and securely hold all tea bits including those tiny ones inside. Look at my pot, no tea bits escape from the bag. There are a couple of things I would suggest the manufacture to improve:1. It would be ideal if a drawstring is used to just draw the string to tighten up the bag opening easily instead of using the strings on the bags to tie up manually,2. It would be ideal if various sizes are offered for various needs. It's probably the right size to hold coffee inside, but it's way too big for any sort of tea which wastes material unless it's used by a restaurant who need to mass produce lots of drink. For residential use, it's either wasting materials or drinking too much tea or drinking old tea if I cannot finish the whole big pot. Hence, instead of making 100 of same size bags for coffee, making 5 different sizes and 20 of them for each size serve all needs. Thanks

I quite like these, they are very easy to use.
The media could not be loaded. I am a huge fan of lavender lemonade, but my local coffee shop no longer has it in stock. So I am trying recipes to make my own, but I don't have small strainers to keep the lavender buds out of my drink. So I decided to try disposable tea bags.Pros: The material feels like commercial tea bag material. It has drawstrings to keep the bag closed during steeping. It holds a lot of lavender buds. It can also be used for mulling spices for apple cider. And the best part, you don't have to clean the bags out. Just toss and go!Cons: It will tear at the sides if you aren't careful. It will also tear if using too much pressure while straining the liquid from the bag. I had to tie the bags closed so the lavender wouldn't float out.

Rinse Before Using!
These mesh bags are not made of paper - they seem to be made of cotton or some other plant material; this is not a bad thing, however they do shed a little, so I would strongly suggest giving them a good rinse in hot water before using them to steep your preferred beverage.

Using for tea not coffee!
I am using these for tea not coffee but they are working perfectly. Easy to fill and ties off easily. I would use these for loose leaf teas any day of the week. Keeps your tea securely out of your drink but gives you all the flavor of your tea!
