How long do these last?

If you overtighten it, less than 5 minutes! We wanted to seal/plug a roof top vent to clear a clogged drain pipe with water pressure. My son overtightened the first "PlugAll" and striped out it's plastic threads. Was lucky and able to extract it whole. Substituted metal parts to finish the project. Ordered a replacement and did not overtighten it. Could last for years if out of the sun.
