TopeakMTX Dual Side Frame for MTX Beam Rack Series

Essential addition to the Topeak beam rack if you want one of their bags with drop down sides. Only took about 10 min to put together, and I find it very handy to carry a basket full of shopping on the back of my bike.

We did a 3 day ride, took our stuff in these, with the panniers / top bag combo. They worked great on our full suspension mountain bikes. Make sure to get the rubber insert correct when fitting it, and tighten it up a couple of times, to prevent it spinning round. Also get the right side - there are three I think - with different angles. We got medium for a large and a smallish bike, so that one it does cover quite a range if you are not sure.

Easy to assemble and fit. Downside is the material used to make the inverted 'V' is very sharp on the edges and on mine the first time I used the side panniers it rubbed damaging the outer material affecting both the look and waterproof protection.

Protects the sides of my MTX back when they are fully opened and dangling down. (Bike swings as I pedal hard and the expanded side panniers rub the tyre.) Excellent. Good quality. Does add a little weight, but not noticable really.

No rattling with this, was worried it would as definitely the most annoying thing about adding stuff on my bike. Easy to fit too.

Easy to put on, lightweight and keeps the sides of the pannier bag from getting caught in the spokes.

Fitted my road bike nicely does not look out of place and with the rack bag has lots of space for longer bike rides/ shopping.
