I suspect that the umbrella will work well. It pivots so you can change the angle of the umbrella, and it's large enough to cover my camera.It does not, however, come with the hot shoe mount that is pictured on this page. The bottom of the umbrella has a 1/4" hole for mounting, so you'll need to purchase the adapter separately. I wish I knew this when ordering.
