Don’t use outside
Maybe it was the quality or just not made for outdoors but the tabs broke off right away from the mice using it.

Caught 18 mice in one night but ladder tabs broke
Edit - I’m sorry to report that the tabs on the ladder broke during the first clean up. We’ve used the other two traps heavily & haven’t had this issue. I’m pretty disappointed. We have hens in my barn so there is chicken feed in their feeders 24 hours a day - a smorgasbord for mice. The mice have been worse this summer than ever before - they dug tunnels in the packed clay dirt floor. I moved some hens out of the barn to work on catching mice. We caught 18 in one night! I bought this third trap so we can keep two in the barn and use one in the chicken coop. We put peanut butter on the ladder and on the part of the lid that dumps them in the bucket. This trap is most effective when other food sources are removed, although we did catch some before we removed the chicken feeder.

Works sometimes
Some escaped, put water in the bucket

It works but......
I figure this should work considering the number of times I've found mice in a bucket in my shed. And there was no ramp. After 3 days I've caught 2 mice in my attic using peanut butter as bait. I believe there are more. There are several brands for sale on Amazon and there's a good chance they all will work, It's a question of quality which is hard to discern. The quality of this one is marginal. Assembly was fairly simple but the fit of the parts was not the beast. It could be better but for the price it probably won't.

It worked on a few mice
I caught a few mice, but one was an escape artist. If you intend to live trap the mice, know that if you catch Houdini, it'll chew it's way out of the top.A mouse chewed hole on the flap part, making for an escape easy. I don't know how or where the 'lil bugger hung on to chew through, other than it being a reincarnation of the great Houdini. No worries, I patched it then put water in the bucket, because this is war now! You just can't live trap them.

Our mice didn’t “fall” for it
Trying not to be harsh here. My husband watched all kinds of videos and reviews, and was super excited to try this. We had a MAJOR mouse problem in our house. We could see them scurrying through the living room in the evenings. So the top arrived, and we pulled a bucket out of the garage, (because you will have to supply your own bucket), and got it set up in the living room. We baited the ramp with dots of peanut butter, with a larger spot on the flip-lid. The mice ate it off the ramp and started using the ramp as a faster way to get up on the sofa! Every night we baited it again. We never caught one. single. mouse! Genius mice, maybe? (They wouldn’t touch poison. We’d even had a professional out.) After a couple months we finally just removed it from the living room and put the bucket back in the garage. Not an attractive set-up for in the house anyway.

Seems OK
The product was as described but I could not install the ramp without the mounting tabs breaking off. The instructions came on a piece of paper and the fonts were so small it was barely legible. I’ll use a piece of wood instead of the ramp but to me the product needs some work and for the premium price compared to similar products it seems like light plastic. It did fit together tightly.

It works.
This trap works, but could use better instructions for putting it together. The ladder could also use a better system to lock the two pieces together. Otherwise, it's been working for us. Using water in the bucket during a Wisconsin winter is not a good way to euthanize them though!
