Had one similar (not the same brand) to this that I managed to kill by leaving in standby til it ran out - it never recovered.Bit concerned about buying another as it's for an old MacBook Pro I rarely use, but it has a CD/DVD drive so can be useful.Have to say this battery is amazing - probably better that the original Apple one! Bought Mid January, it's now Mid July and I've charged it ONCE and it still has 50% left. That amount of resting capacity is immense. I've used the laptop a handful of times and not for long periods but when I do the battery holds up well. I read the instructions about letting the battery run down before fully charging (first time use), and in the end I put the laptop to sleep to run the battery down! Charged it fully when at 15% and it's great!.Highly recommended - and I don't work for the company!!!

No problems installing, and does kind of work. However it only charges quickly up to about 75-80%, and then literally takes hours and hours to eventually get to 100%.Also when using the battery, the drop off, it discharges normally until about 15-10%, then the battery drains in seconds.I had to return. Maybe I just got a faulty one.

Given the price - and despite the mixed reviews - I thought this replacement battery was worth a punt.It took me less than 3 minutes to install - all the tools were provided.I immediately did 3 calibration cycles (3/4 recommended) and then started working. Using my 2011 Macbook Pro mainly for writing/editing (with some internet browsing), I was amazed that I got over 5 hours use from 1 charge. 2 months later it's still providing that level of performance.With heavy internet use - gaming/streaming - I get about 2 hours 20-30 minutes on one charge, which is acceptable. The only issue is that despite calibrating the battery correctly, it has a slight glitch when it reaches about 12%-13% charge it will suddenly drop to 7%.All in all, so far, this is proving to be an excellent battery and fantastic value for money.

I went to Apple Store as the trackpad was also playing up to find it was the battery, as it sits underneath the trackpad. At 2011, they do not stock batteries for these machines anymore. He showed me what I needed to do and took the old battery out to recycle.The new battery turned up the next day and literally took 5 mins to install. It was sooo easy.

Fitted and followed all instructions but now laptop, which was working fine before installation of new battery, does not work at all. Tried PRAM and SMC start to get laptop to recognise the battery and about every YouTube video and Web link to find a cure but all to no avail. Laptop I've had no issues with for over 10 years ruined by this battery. Somehow it looks like it has blown the motherboard. An expensive mistake. Cannot recommend buying.
