Red Vanilla Summer Sun Bone China 4-Piece Dinning Set

These are simply gorgeous! They're very slightly off-white, (see pic) with a vibrant, minimalist poppy motif. I also love the contemporary design of the angular handles. That, combined with the pattern, sets off the clean, modern look wonderfully.These are a lighter weight than they appear, yet it's is evident that they are very well made, with quality materials. I love these mugs. More important, my husband does, too. He had been using Corelle cups without the saucers, which are nice and lightweight, but their shape encouraged spills and both the cup and handle were too small for him. We thought we could find different Corelle mugs that would be better, but we could only find stoneware Corelle mugs, so we looked for bone china. We considered a LOT of mugs, but most bone china mugs are too small, delicate and froufrou for my husband to use comfortably. Plus, not many are dishwasher and microwave safe, or shipped by Prime, like these are.These Red Vanilla mugs are perfect in every way- large (13 oz), lightweight, bone china, which doesn't draw the heat out of your drink like stoneware does, so it stays warm longer, and it feels great in your hands, too. The sides are straight, not flared, which reduces spills. They have a handle that's big enough for my husband to use, and because the top of the handle is flat, it's easy to hold the mug upright without it slipping and causing spills. The poppy design is beautiful, classy artwork that we appreciate more the longer we have it. We've been using them for months now, and they have held up beautifully, both in our hands, in the dishwasher and in the microwave. Everyone who has used them has commented on how nice they are. We use them all day long, every day, and are really happy with them.

was hoping it be a complete set of 4 each but I guess I misunderstood the items, loved them though beautiful

We bought these to use not only for everyday, but for special occasions and company. The size of each piece is perfect...not too big, not too small. We have the dinner plate, salad bowl, salad plate, fruit bowl, mugs, serving platter and serving bowl. They fit perfectly in our dishwasher. I use the mugs for tea and coffee and no stains whatsoever on the inside. What I love about these dishes is that they're not big and bulky and thick. The only small drawback is that they curve up very slightly, which gives it a beautiful shape and keeps sauces and runny foods in the plate, however if you have food on the sides of your plate and you put pressure there, the plate will tilt suddenly. You just have to remember to keep your food in the center and away from the edges. Overall, I love these.

I bought these about a year ago and the black color in the middle of the poppies is already fading on some of the dishes! I waited for years to buy myself a set of dishes. I DID NOT expect the colors to fade this soon and at this price. Very disappointed.
