Have used Dextor knives for many many years. Yes generic handle, yet safe to grip, stay sharp for many years. Very durable. The best serrated knife to buy.

Reasonable price for a multi-purpose serrated knife. Fit and finish are very nice, I expect years of service. Works great for bread, but also on most other foods. For example, does a nice job cutting salmon steaks.

Wow-This product is, plainly, superior. I have fancy knives I always took to get sharpened, they couldn’t cut a tomato, let alone slice bread. I bought this knife, the best! Respect the knife, or buy band-aids in advance😆

And still going strong. But, since I find I use it to cut through also non-food items in my kitchen, I’m ordering another. I use to score the tops of my sourdough bread loaves, instead of a razor. I find it works great for that, stays sharp (unless one abuses for other things, as have I 😆), is safe for my fingers for that purpose, doesn’t rip the dough, rather cuts a clean “X” as I want and, were I not using for other purposes, should work for dough for decades!

I love the knife it is everything that you would need from this kind of knife.
