I'm fond of this as soon as I opened the box
Mahogany neck, all metal parts, 500k pots, coil tap pickups, wicked raw aluminum finish. For the price, the materials are worth it. Needs a wiring diagram. But overall I loved what I got. Used 400 grit sandpaper lightly on the fret edges to polish the jags off. Polished the entire neck with fine grade steel wool. I can't wait to get it assembled!Update: As with any DIY there is some work involved. I had to do some fret filing from the 12th-24th frets. I found the wiring diagram too, attaching it to this. I love the rough finish I may do some smoothing and rounding modifications and buff it out. The stock pickups are actually quite nice. I just might have to get another one! Just another FYI: this guitar finished and assembled is around $800 delivered from Koloss. There is much unfinished with it, but what fantastic bones! I love the crazy long sustain and resonance of this body! The Aviator II 6T Tremolo is one of my all time favorite designed tremolos. I've tried ordering the tremolos from Koloss directly, but their website registration never sends the confirmation emails, not even to my spam folders or trash. I can literally loosen all the strings and do pickup or fret work and remount them without ever losing strings! Fantastic for drop tuning on the fly, it works flawlessly! I think the company designers should get some really great awards for their design.

Defective design makes it impossible to set up correctly.
Update: I was able to plug and redrill the neck holes and by inserting a shim to push the neck slightly further away from the bridge, I was able to at least get it playable. Still, cannot recommend this kit unless you plan on doing heavy remediation work to fix the major QC/design issues inherent to this instrument.Bridge placement is incorrect, meaning even with the saddles maxed out, intonation is off. All strings slightly sharp except the A, which is VERY sharp. Any barre chords higher up the neck are painfully out of tune.Because of the construction, correcting this is impractical. You would need to plug, drill, and tap new bridge post holes into the aluminum body, and then your bridge would not sit directly in the recess.I owned one of the floppy carbon fiber neck kits previously and with light strings and heavy mods, turned it into a serviceable instrument. This is unsalvageable, unfortunately. It appears Koloss' reputation caught up to them, as they seem to be out of business, which is probably for the best.Don't order the headless kit unless you're looking to use the neck and bridge (which are relatively decent) and build your own guitar around them.

Preliminary review - came with incorrect neck
I'll add to this as it gets built, but first impression - it was advertised as coming with a purpleheart fingerboard, but it's obviously not that, just some generic brown rosewood or rosewood-like wood. Not a deal killer though. The nut slots were not cut deep enough - this is a zero fret type neck, so the strings have to be low enough so that they are actually stopped at the zero fret. I was having major problems getting this to intonate properly, until I discovered that the nut wasn't right. Once I recut the nut slots the intonation problem was gone.

Too cool.
Still tweaking it but overall a good guitar. The only down side is the slots for the pick-up mounting is undersized so my EMG pickups won't fit.

Better now!!
If you buy this guitar you need to buy a new locking nut. The one that comes with it is crap. See photo! You'll have to level the frets, change the pickups and electronics. Good project!

For a builder not a novice.
Decent guitar. Obviously very unique. Frets need leveled. No instructions. Has a battery compartment but no preamp is included. I replaced tuners. Still a decent guitar. I build guitars. You need at least a basic knowledge of putting this together and adjusting it or you will be disappointed

No instructions
Appears to be good quality but there was no instructions .

No instructions
No instructions in box and none on company website. Videos and pdfs for all the wood guitars but not the aluminum ones. Two and a half hours trying to put the pickups in which is the first thing I’ve tried. Bridge pickup doesn’t even fit in hole no matter what angle or front or back of body. No room to hold spring or pickup while trying to put screw in neck pickup. Now I know why there’s no instructions. Beyond frustrated at this point. Was so excited about getting this guitar and now I’m so disappointed….
