It's like Fizik made this saddle just for me.
I'm running this saddle on a 50cm Dolan PreCursa fixed gear. I use the bike primarily for commuting and playing in traffic in the city. However, one of the challenges of being a short dude is finding bike components that fit you. Saddles are no exception. Especially when you have wide set sit bones like me (139.7 mm). Which means that the standard sized 140ish saddle isn't quite wide enough to support my dump truck.I found this out the hard way after purchasing the Brooks Cambium C15, which is only 140mm wide. I hated that saddle. It seemed like no amount of adjustment could make it feel comfortable.Fed up, I went looking for a replacement and found the Fizik Antares R3 large. The word "Large" is kind of subjective here because it's only 152mm wide, but those extra 12mm make all the difference. I pulled this saddle out of the box, installed it, set the nose to -1 degree as per Fizik's recommendation, then took off on a short ride. And It was heavenly. There was no weird pressure in my perineum like with the Brooks and no sliding round. Instead, I was treated to an overwhelming sense of stability and control. Even when I took my hands off the bars, the bike felt like it was running on rails. I could also feel my sit bones making contact with the broad portion of the Fizik--not something I had felt with the Brooks. Something, about it just felt right.Overall, I'm very happy with this saddle. It ticks all the boxes for comfort, price, and aesthetics. It's really great, and super comfortable. So, if you have wide set sit bones like I do, then this saddle should be perfect for you.I'm already planning on buying another one for my single speed conversion.

Great mid-range seat
Got this seat to replace the narrow, flat stock seat on my Scott Solace road bike which left my nether regions numb on rides of more than a half-hour. The R3 Antares is Fizik's mid-range road bike seat for what they call the "Chameleon" body type (more on this later); I'm very pleased with it. No more numbness even on multi-hour rides and it's comfortable. The biggest improvement over the stock seat was simply getting a seat of the proper width. The seat should be wider than the spacing of your sitz bones ("ischial tuberosity," see Wikipedia). Search for "measuring sit bones" on the web to see how to measure their spacing, then buy a seat that's a few centimeters wider than the measurement. The Fizik site lists seat dimensions including width. Makes a huge difference to have your sitz bones supported by the seat rather than having the seat wedged between them. The other improvement was getting a seat with a slight uptilt at the rear to rotate your hips slightly forward, reducing how much you have to bend at the waist to get into a proper riding position. Fizik designs for three body types: Snake (very flexible, seat style Arione), Chameleon (flexible, seat style Antares), Bull (least flexible, seat style Aliante). The slight uptilt at the back of the Antares took a little getting used to -- it's important to put your sitz bones well back in the saddle, almost at the rear -- but it feels very natural to me now and comfortable. The R3 uses Fizik's alloy rails. There are also R1 and 00 versions of the seat with lighter (and stiffer?) carbon rails.

Not a fan of the new sticky cover material but still the best saddle
I’m a longtime user of the Fizik Antares. I’ve tried several other brands and types including the channeled Antares but I’ve always come back to this one. It’s my fourth one. My other ones are older generations and they use a slick material for the covering. I’m not a fan of this new material. It’s tacky so you don’t slide as much. Personally I like to be able to slide around and easily change my position. That being said, this saddle is still more comfortable than anything I’ve used so I’ll stick with it. The fact that it’s reasonably priced is a bonus.

Broke in half in less that 2 years.
Never totally pleased with the ride but bearable until in broke in half after less than 2 years use. I'm only 180 lbs and don't ride that often, especially in the last year. Will not buy again.

Very lightweight materials, flat, stiff, but comfortable
Fizik's website indicates the R3 K:Ium uses a glass reinforced nylon shell, yet it strangely looks like carbon, like the one on the R1. The VS K:ium is advertised as using a carbon reinforced shell, but it looked like plastic given the numerous plastic markings on the shell!I used their app and got fitted into the Antares R1 and R3. The K:ium alloy is proprietary and Fizik refuses to indicate what type of material it is, but I found some reviews/articles indicating it is a titanium alloy with more chromium and silicon added to it.Regardless, the R3 Large is very lightweight and seems to be more comfortable than expected. My sitbones are 110mm apart, but the Antares is flat enough to not really hurt them. The Antares VS is more curved and seems to aggrevate my sit bones.Overall: 5/5 stars

Love this saddle!
Love this saddle! I realize saddles are really a personal preference for fit to your body but the Fizik Antares is the best saddle for me. The saddle is very comfortable and doesn’t cause fatigue because of the great support. I have tried a couple of Specialized saddles and they were no where near as comfortable. Fizik just designs a great saddle.

Uncomfortably hard w covering that grabs your shorts
I’ve ridden fizik saddles (Arione and Antares). This was unpleasant. It was the right size but had two problems:- there’s not much padding so it felt hard- the covering is a rough suede that doesn’t let your shorts slide on the saddle. This could be a good thing for some but I need to move around depending on my body position and didn’t like having to lift off the seat and sit back down because my bibs were gripped by the saddle. Bad choice of materials.

comfortable, lightweight and of great quality
I replaced Selle Italia Model X to my Canyon endurace bike. Apart from getting significantly lighter, the bike feels more comfortable. Despite not having a hole, it feels safe for prostate while riding. My rides are mostly climbs with duration of 3 hours. It looks good too and feels of great built quality.Packaging was superb as well.

Top Sattel
Top Sattel...wichtig ist hier, dass von der Sattelspitze ca. 15cm nach hinten gemessen werden sollte.. dort die Wasserwaage auflegen und ins Lot bringen...
