For heat dissipation incase you keep your laptop directly on table then getting this stand might help with airflow and heat reduction. For my laptop of 15.6 inch 2.2kg and quite thick as it is a older model with which I'm using the stand, the size is just fine.It's not very well sturdy and might shake a very little if you like while typing put the hand on the laptop quite hardly but other than that it is stable.Ofcourse, there are few manufacturing defects like the slip pads aren't sticker straight and initially the two handles on which laptop sits were not aligned with each other straight but they got fixed themselves somehow.Under 250 for me this is a good stand for the same I wrote above. You can go for it. Value for money because aluminium is used tho not very good finishing but does the work along with fine pouch that might not be very usable tbh.

(merely clearing exhausts path will not speed up ur computer, but surely helps with overheating)>>not "ideal" for 15 inch laptops, because even when the length of the support bars are adequate, the width of the stand is only halfway covering the laptop 's width(check images). this makes the sides of the laptop moderately not steady. that means won't be able to rest ur hands on the sides the laptop. otherwise, its holding the weight (my gaming laptop is around 2.5kg, see images) pretty much decently.>>just an opinion after using it, i dont think this will be really great for mac air-like light weight notebooks (like in the pictures and infographics by the seller), as the stand relies little too much in the weight of the laptop to be sturdy. if the laptop is too light, it can be unsteady. because whatever screw and material they used, the stand works because there's a tiny metal lever that goes into small cuts made on the base rod and just stays there only because of the weight that's put above the stand.
