Was a touch sceptical until I used it on my two pit bulls, both are mature dogs that rush and bark and carry on at the back door. One “zap” and they backed off and went silent. Only have to show it to them now and they are well behaved. Wish I had found this product sooner.

Watched the video and followed the directions. My dog didn’t even flinch with the beep, but the ultrasonic sounds sent her in attack mode on me. Given her reaction, I cannot call this a humane training tool. Needless to say, it’s going back.EDIT: This company tried to bribe me to remove my review by offering an Amazon Gift card in exchange. This is highly unethical and blatantly deceitful to potential future customers seeking honest feedback.

Don’t waste your money or gas to return the item. This doesn’t work tried it with different dogs. An amazon gift card was included for a positive review and I refused to write a fake review. Amazon doesn’t care.

I purchased this because I have struggled to find training techniques to help rein by German shepherd in when he decides to go crazy barking at other dogs or whatnot. What this did is cause unbelievable amount of stress to my dog. If you know your dogs you know when they’re upset. I have a highly sensitive dog who was extremely close to me. Now he is afraid. He hides if his sister decides to bark when the door bell rings. He’s terrified. I only pressed it a handful of times before I realized I couldn’t do this, it was torturing him. I can’t believe this is on the market. I truly believe the sound is not what they’re saying to be. After seeing what happened with my dog I searched about the technique and Psychology Today has a good article on this. Stop harming our dogs. We love them. This is not the way.

It took me awhile to write this review because I wanted to make sure that I had given this product a chance and opportunity. Aside from the Gentle Leader that I had purchased for my Australian Shepard/Border Collie- this is hands down my best purchase.I use it the second my dog does something I do not want him to do and just by grabbing hold of it now - he knows to stop whatever it is I do not want him doing and he also immediately sits down and looks at me for direction.This product as totally changed my relationship with my dog and I can't rave about the product so much to my friends and family. I bring it with us on every walk and after what's been a few weeks I often find myself just having to reach for it in order for my dog to stop my dog from doing things I do not want him doing.Such a great product - thank you for creating such a great device!
