Very nice futon with fairly easy assembly. Also tips on how to put it together easier!
This is a very, very nice Futon Sofa. I've owned, sat, or slept on several, and this one is by far the best. I agree with some of the reviews stating the middle/joint can be hard to sit or sleep on, but I do not believe its something you should negatively rate or review for. It's definitely one of those "you knew the flaw of what you were buying, why review it poorly for that flaw" type of situation. Furthermore, its a sofa, who sits in the center of a two-seat sofa, or between cushions? On the note of comfort, I've sat on this sofa for a few hours at a time, and slept on it for at least a few weeks now. Keep in mind I have a queen-sized bed with a brand new, very comfortable mattress, but I very often opt to use this Futon. The features greatly outweigh the flaws, such as the 3 different recline positions (upright, half-way/lounging, sleeping) and 2 seperate recline sections (left and right sections). Meaning you could be sound asleep while your buddy is using the upright or "lounge" positions, vice versa, etc. Other features include added legs in hidden zippered compartments that you can fold out for added support when in the sleeping position. I've found it handy to even leave the legs out if I know myself or someone else will be sleeping on it. The mechanism for raising and lowering the back(s) is very simple and sturdy. You'll quickly learn the sounds of the clicks and how far to pull up or lower it. In a nutshell, pull PAST where you want the set the back to allow it to lower, and pull TO or slightly above where you want to set the back to choose a position. Then obviously lower all the way to sleep. The Andora by DHP is one of the nicest pieces of furniture I've ever owned, if you can get past the (obvious) flaws of a futon or sofa, you won't be disappointed.Pro-tip: Save yourself a TON of time and wrist-strain by gathering a basic powered screwdriver with hex bits, and small ratchet set for attaching the arms/sides to the main seating area. Using the included basic wrenches takes forever and left me a bit sore!

Four Out of Five Stars
This is great product with one simple flaw. First, here’s the good news. It was easy to assemble. The instructions were clear. It came with all of the hardware and even the tools needed to assemble the sofa. Once assembled, it has proven solid and comfortable. It looks great, too. Over time, I will see how it holds up. But it looks like it will hold up well. Second, here are the drawbacks. When the seat back is lowered to make a bed, it sits a little lower than the seat cushions. In addition, there isn’t any support under the seat back. As a result of the lowered position and lack of support under the lowered seat back, while lying on the bed, you tend to roll towards the set back portion. Once there, the entire piece of furniture tips over. But there was a simple fix. I bought a concrete block from the local hardware store for $1.30 and placed it behind the sofa. When I lower the seat back, it rests on the concrete block. It solves both problems. The bed platform is now level, and the block keeps the platform from tipping over.

Snappy, comfy, lil’ couch for price!
For the money, this little couch is great! We bought this for a convertible couch for our kids playroom in the basement. We have four kids 6 and under so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money but wanted something solid.Assembly: super easy. My husband is a plumber and über handy with all things so this went together in a snap for us. The kids loved helping turning all the Allen wrenches. Directions were straightforward. All the hardware was present and accounted for.Fabric: color was as described. We have the dark navy blue. I really like it. Should hide stains pretty well. It’s not the most amazing quality fabric but it’s not too soft and def. not rough or scratchy.Comfort: this sofa is not too hard, not too soft. I was expecting it to be super stiff and uncomfortable, but it’s really quite nice. I’m 5’6” and the seat cushions come right to the back of my knees. So this couch is a bit low to the ground but that’s perfect for our needs. My husband is 6’2” and he thought is was too low, naturally. The back of the couch hits me at the top of my shoulders so to rest my head would require me to totally stretch my neck back at like an 80 degree angle. Overall, I think it’s a comfy couch.Functionality: It is a lighter weight sofa so I can move it on my own around the room or to pull out to adjust it to a bed. It’s super easy to adjust the back sections down for the bed.

It was too long making assembly next to IMPOSSIBLE!!!!, I was able to get everything together but the bottom part sticks out and it looks AWFUL!!! Now it’s just hazard in my living room that I’m sure I’m going to stub my toe on! 🙁I already opened the package and started assembly so returning this product is not an option!SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS
