Description
Bird Girl was sculpted by Sylvia Shaw Judson in 1936 and made famous by the best selling non-fiction novel, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendt and from the movie by the same name. After the release of the book, the original statue was removed from the Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, GA and currently resides in a museum in downtown Savannah. Bird Girl has become one of the most recognized sculptures in America.
