Workable, but very bad craftmanship
The item works, but you need to sharpen the blade yourself. It had some dents on edge. Don't expect any YouTube like experience because craftmanship is really bad. There are notches here and there, the blade is not stright on edge, lever screw is not seating properly- overall, craftmanship is REALLY BAD.Now, no other item at this price is available in India. All are replica of this. Though bad in feeling, it still performs. I am new to this segment and this is my first plane. So, decide yourself.

Good quality materials - Very bad workmanship
At first glance the plane appears to be very good - especially for the price. It is solidly made with good quality materials. However on closer examination I found many problems. I returned the first piece and received a replacement. Bad workmanship on both pieces. The main screw slants to one side. The bed (on which the blade rests next to the mouth) appears to be hand "chiselled" quite crudely and is is not true - so the blade sticks out more on one side. The sliding plate in the first piece fit very well but in the replacement it sticks and has minor gaps. The mouth in both pieces was not true. When the blade is retracted, the lever cap also slides back.As DIY becomes more popular people will be willing to pay a higher price for good quality stuff, so I would suggest more attention to quality control.
