Low cost but efficient and delicious
Decent noodles, especially given the cost. Comes with a beef flavor packet which you can use or not, but I still use it even when I cook beef with the noodles. Maybe not the best noodles on its own, but given the price, it definitely fulfills what I desire. But it simply is what you make of it-- the less effort thrown into a meal you make, the more it'll seem lackluster; the more you put into it and add more ingredients, the better it is. It's up to you to really get your money's worth and more. By itself, it's probably a 3/5, but if you cook your own beef and other ingredients (broccoli, peppers, seasonings, green onions, etc) it definitely serves as a great, low cost option for noodles and in my mind deserves a 5/5. This is from a stir-fry and not soup perspective. Augments meals greatly.

The noodles are great
The broth leaves a bit of flavor to be desired, but I added some MSG and suddenly it was deliciousDefinitely recommend adding meat/vegetables rather than eating as is

Beef Udon: New packaging is great
New packaging on my last shipment of Beef Udon: I noticed immediately that the powdered sauce packets remained powdery & not moist.Udon is a comfort food for me; especially if I haven’t eaten all day or feeling lightheaded. The carb boost helps with the light broth. It’s easy to make & you can add vegetables and spicy seasonings for additional flavor. The price, if you get it directly through Amazon, is relatively close to Asian store prices but with the convenience of it being boxed and shipped to your door (which during these Coronavirus COVID-19 times can keep the outside packaging from being touched by multiple people).Again the new packaging is way better.

Sour taste
I'm not sure what was wrong with the packages I received but the taste was a big no for me. There was a sour taste that was a huge turn off. Moisture also got into the powder packets turning them into lumps of semisolid goo. I will not be returning to get these again.

Yummy udon
We used to live in California where we could get udon at Japanese markets. Now we live in the midwest where we don't have access to Japanese markets nearby. Finding udon on Amazon has been a blessing! This particular type has the soup packet included in each one. The flavor is good, the noodles are fresh, and it makes a quiick meal on a busy night. The shrimp flavor is good. It's not fishy at all.

Shrimp? If you say so...
Ordered the 15 pack, received a single... Eighteen bucks for a pack of udon! Hopefully they don't make this mistake too often. Now, back to the product itself: the package contains udon in a plastic pouch and a soup base powder in a foil packet. While that's a lot of packaging, at least it doesn't include a bowl, like those ridiculously wasteful ramen and udon bowls.Preparation is simple: drop the noodles into 1 1/4 cup boiling water and cook for 1 1/2 minute, then turn off the heat, add soup powder, stir... and eat.Taste is pretty decent, although it only tastes like shrimp if you think MSG tastes like shrimp. Don't expect little chunks of vegetable, seaweed, scallions, shrimp, what have you, like you can find in the fancier products: this is really as basic as it gets. Then again, the price is basic, too, so you get what you pay for. Calling it "shrimp flavor" is a bit of a stretch though. "MSG in a pink package" would be more descriptive (but probably less appealing)
