I bought a "used like new" version, this is an amazon return due to a chipped top, which I pretty much expected after reading reviews. If you are planning on replacing the top as I was, its a good buy because the legs are sturdy, in new condition, and has a full frame under the top, but the pressboard top was significantly chipped up.

I would not have even bothered with the so called reinforcement x bars. They really don't add anything but style if you like it. I got to build a shelf that has a little support in it. It's kinda unstable as expected if you bump into it another reason for bottom shelf. Too bad it didn't come with an option for that instead of expensive table stands and chairs. The corners were a little chipped. I elected to cover it with a stretchable tabletop to protect surface. There is one here that fits over it well.

Although the item did arrive with some damage from shipping, replacement was sent and this was a wonderful breakfast nook table for our barstools !

For the price, you could do much worse than this table! Assembly was simple even though the directions aren't Ikea levels of detail. Some burs found in the punchouts, but overall everything fit pretty well. The X braces are for decoration only and provide no support, so this isn't any different than models that lack them. Unfortunately the top of mine arrived with a collapsed corner, even though the packaging was undamaged. There definitely needs to be more corner protection in the packaging, even though there was a decent amount of styrofoam and plastic wrap between pieces. Definitely not a showpiece but a solid table for smaller spaces. Wouldn't plan on having 4 people seated at it; 2 would be comfortable

Perfect bar height table for a studio apartment! Looks fantastic- sturdy & very good quality. Very straightforward assembly & good instructions.

There were very poor instructions to assemble .It was hard to assembled with out good directions.The table is nice . There is one scratch on the table top .. it is sturdy.

This table works well for my bar area. It was simple to put together. While it is not flimsy, I do not suggest standing on it. Good product for the price. I have 4 bar height stools around it that fit well.
