I usually have my students bring items from home to demonstrate/compare size difference.Unfortunately with virtual learning it was a little harder to do this.This kit was great, because I could fill the containers with colored water and video myself pouring into the different containers and the kids were able to see the differences.

I am starting to teach a lesson on mass, volume and length and fractions. This set is great for these lessons. It gives students something concrete to help them understand these concepts.

Purchased this kit for use with our Saxon Math lessons, much more convenient than trying to find the right size containers, being that in my kitchen I have minimal measuring tools, I like that the containers with lids all fit into each other providing for easy storage, the black labeling on these containers has so far not rubbed off or faded, if it does I will post another review.

We are a home educated family and I purchased these for some upcoming Saxon Math lessons over measurements. The kids dug into the box the minute they arrived and began playing with them. I love how the everything stacks inside one another for easy storage. The kids have used all the pieces at some point or another to play in the sand box, in the water, and messy science experiments, but the printed measurements have not rubbed off, which was a concern of mine. Overall, I'm glad I went ahead and spent the money on this quality product as opposed to some of the cheaper sets you could find.

We homeschool and use Saxon Math as our math curriculum. This set is useful for Saxon Math levels 1-3 (I only did part of the Math K so am not sure measuring is needed then).As pictured, this set has dry measuring spoons and cups and also has various sizes of liquid measuring cups. The lidded containers go up to one gallon. This set remains with our math manipulatives. Previously, I used my kitchen tools which was great for the budget; however, I'd find I would need my 2-cup liquid measuring cup for math - only to have it in the dishwasher or the 1-gallon pitcher only to find it half-full of tea in the fridge. If your budget affords for you to purchase this set, I definitely recommend it.Each style of measuring container nests quite well with its own kind. The spoons and dry measuring cups are on rings to keep them together. The spoons can be tucked into the liquid measuring cups; but, not the lidded containers - the largest measuring spoon is too big to fit in the opening of the smallest lidded container. I find it helpful to have a lidded plastic box to store these all together; that is a separate purchase.

I teach 3 rd grade. These helped my students to visualize the difference in the sizes of capacity.

Why not just use your own? I thought when I first looked at these, well, the average person simply doesn't have all these items, nor could you go out and buy them for this price! I used these with a volume and fraction workbook for fun, summer learning when the days are just too hot to go out.
