I'm very happy with this item and the way that it changed the look of my Miata, however double sided tape is not going to hold this thing on. It's worth the money, & looks very good once installed...but it as a real hassle to install & just be prepared to screw this thing on to the lower part of your bumper because that's the only realistic way it's going to stay on..they recommend double sided tape however the item arrived extremely oily and even after following the instructions & wasting my money on a bottle of oil paint thinner & a bottle of degreaser & washing this thing the oil still prevented the expensive heavy duty gorilla tape that I attempted to use.."the seller recommended 3m tape" from adhering to this..it just wasted my gorilla mounting tape...& I stand behind that tape because it's served me well in many other cases...why recommend tape & then send an oily product???..anyways I like the item & am happy once I figured out that here on planet Earth..ya just gotta screw it on. It arrived warped from shipping but once laid out in the Houston heat/sun one afternoon it was as soft & malleable as ever....I painted this with a 5 dollar can of black spray paint from wmt before installing and I ordered some black screws from Amazon that worked well..it probably has about hmm..well 2 screws in each fender liner & about 6 or 8 along the outer under side of the front bumper..it turned our even better than I expected.

You get what you pay for. Yes its cheap, and yes its going to be warped or slightly deformed. But that's not a problem if you have a heat gun and some pressure and sandpaper. Tape will NOT work on this. I used small self tappers, 2 jack stands and a pump jack. I started on each end inside the wheel well and worked my way to the center. Pulling and pushing and applying heat and pressure with the heat gun and pump jack as I went. And boom easy as that it will be done in 30 minutes and retain its shape. Any gaps can be fixed with more heat and pressure.

This part did not fit on my son's 2003 Miata and it ended up costing me to send it back. Feeling ripped off...

It's not going to noticeably change how your car handles by itself, but it looks pretty decent for what it costs and could work nicely to fill in the gap for adding a front splitter.Ease of install could be better, as there are no directions, leaving one to guess a bit on exact placement - and it is worth having some additional pan head screws at the ready, as double sided tape for something like this is unlikely to be reliable by itself - and installation requires drilling into the outer sides of your bumper to fit it so that the bottom of the spoiler remains flat to the ground - leaving visible screw heads or holes if you end up removing it . Double sided tape just wouldn't cut it for me with the slight irregularities in the end bends that did not match my bumper perfectly.I WOULD buy another one regardless. It is a very durable piece that adds a nice look to the car if you are not concerned about perfection. Worrying too much about appearances of anything attached below a front bumper is a recipe for constant headaches anyway. These could be considered a semi-disposable item. That said, with my stock height Miata, I have not had much concern or noticed driveway clearance issues - but a standard height parking bumper or curb could definitely damage or rip it out of it's mounting.

I am pleased with the way it looks and the quality of the material. However, I have not got it painted or installed on my 2001 Miata yet.

Was wavy and not good quality like the one before....more rubbery...not formed...no sticky strips like the old one.
