Superb book - highly recommended
Superb book. I’m currently struggling with a shoulder injury which I realise is likely attributable to a combination of over training, muscle imbalances (weak rotator cuff, tight lats and chest) and restricted thoracic mobility (not helped by my desk job). I now feel much better informed and more confident about my ability to recover and rebuild my strength. Reasonably priced on Amazon too. Highly recommended.

Excellent resource
Bought this book as I have ongoing lower back issues and was unsure what training I can or should be doing to help heal my back and not do further damage. This book is so well written and gives an in depth scientific explanation about muscles, connective tissue and how the body works with regards to exercise and healing etc. It is equally suited to serious athletes and your average gym goer like me!The 2nd half of the book goes into how to train and has training programmes for all levels. I now feel confident, equipped and educated to get back into exercise and help my body get back to full health. Brilliant book!

Good book
I've read many books to tackle small ailments that I come across, and some larger ones. Like gray cooks and rebuilding Milo. This one really drives home the need and use of resistance training to tackle anv issues.Another great book to add to a collect to enhances ones ability to take control of there issues.

Ok if you dont know much
The reviews made me excited. Nice easy read but only takeaway for me that was new was around building connective tissue and including insights around that into your regime when you return to exercise. This is really a general public book for someone who likes to lift heavy, doesn't have much knowledge but keeps getting niggles. I think 'built from broken' gives the wrong impression. A few useful takeaways don't get me wrong but not worth the reviews. Or maybe i'm just the wrong audience.

Life changing
Cannot recommend this book highly enough. All my long term injuries and postural issues are being corrected by following this excellent programme. This is for issues that I spent £s and hours through countless physiotherapy sessions that never resolved the underlying problems. Key thing this book teaches you is to keep moving correctly through the pain and trust your body to heal itself (with the right strength exercises and rest). Amazing book that is making me pain free, confident with great posture and so much stronger.

A revelation that confirmed my ideas
A ver well written book that confirmed ideas I have held for many years and gave me tools to put them into deeper practice. Never one to interminally rest injuries, I would exercise without gravity or return to the field to start working on the area and rebuilding bone repair. This gave me so much of the science and many more tools to use and put into practice Scott's ideas and to continue in my quest to be as active as possible for as long as possible given my body's ability to naturally rebuild. Thankyou for this and for anyone else please give it a very serious go
