NJ Croce Felix The Cat Motion Clock

This was well packaged, no problems, totally easy to assemble (the tail is in a little cardboard pocket at one of the ends of the boxes, it's not missing don't worry!) and worked as soon as I got it on the wall. It is just cheapy plastic, so you do have to treat it gently, but it is adorable. Not so adorable that my husband doesn't like it, however! He isn't into "cute" but he does like Felix up on the wall very much.ONE MONTH LATERSo far so good! I'm glad I took a chance on this clock - the wide variety of experiences in the reviews made me nervous, but I must have gotten one of the good Felix clocks. He keeps good time, tail swings and eyes move, and I still smile when I see it. If you take a chance on him too, save the packaging and box in case you get a dud.One small word on batteries: I bought the Amazon brand rechargeable batteries, AA and AAA, and recharger (it works for both sizes), and I recommend them highly. Felix takes AAAs, and it so nice to be able to just recharge batteries and not have to buy them all the time, or constantly be sending them off to the landfill. This is a good alternative to the kit-kat clock. Since both are plastic anyway the Felix clock is almost half the price. It works well, and it was more of a crowd-pleaser in my house since my wife (Jeff talking on the account now) viewed the other popular cat clock as "creepy." Felix is a much friendlier looking clock. Like I said though they are both all plastic quartz movement clocks so in this case the less expensive one was the right answer. Works well, good price, nice looking piece. Would recommend.

The Felix the Cat Clock is a favorite piece of nostalgic whimsy for me, not to mention that with good batteries it will keep going and going and going. It is an accurate time keeper and just needs the batteries changed and a little dusting from time to time.The Felix the Cat Clock by NJ Croce is made of sturdy, quality grade plastic and it's working parts don't skip a beat. I have loved the Felix the Cat character since I was a child. Never missed a single cartoon. Many years later as a grown woman with a child of my own, I had visited a friend who had one of these charming clocks on her wall. I was delighted by it and so was my son. We all are cat lovers as well, so this tail-wagging, eye-moving wall kitty clock was a perfect addition to my home. I bought a Felix the Cat Clock for my adult son who was taken by it as well. This clock is adorable and yes, whimsical. A true retro classic. Who doesn't love Felix the Cat? The wonderful, wonderful cat? The world's most famous cat? It works as advertised - however, it is Made In China, and the plastic is a bit flimsy - namely the pendulum/tail. That said, unless you handle your things roughly or it gets knocked into like a body check in hockey, you should be fine with it. It's been running for two years now and it's just ... in Felix's famous words ... Righty O!

The first clock I ordered must have had a malfunction. The tail never moved but I got another one and its been working perfect since. I had bought this for my dad but he has died a year ago this May 2017 and now I have it and it reminds me of him. I also bought the oldre version of the Felix the cat clock which is smaller and more classic but its been working fine too. This is really a cute clock. They both are. My Grandmother had the older version one when my dad was a kid and why I bought it for him in the first place. He died at 87 so Felix has been around!! I have this one in my kitchen and the older Felix in the bathroom. I need to post a picture!!

I got this thing as a "house gift" or kind of a general family Christmas present. We usually have a couple of things like this every Christmas.Anyway, taking it out of the box, I discovered that the arm the eyes swing back and forth on, inside the clock, appeared to be broken. Grabbing my handy dandy set of mini-Phillips head screw drivers (I work on and fix a lot of small delicate machinery), I took the back off and -- sure enough -- the arm the eyes are on was broken. Basically, this is just some cheap plastic stuff in there.I contacted the seller asking to return and exchange it. The reply I got back was not exactly what I'd call satisfactory. Their question was whether I thought it had been shipped broken or got broken in transit.Now how the heck do you tell that? As cheaply made and as flimsy as this thing is, if they're not already broken when shpped I suspect a lot of them break in shipping. But, I fail to see how that is really material. All I know is we received a broken clock.Anyway, after not getting much of a response from the seller, on a Sunday afternoon without a lot to do (for once), I took the darn thing apart, grabbed a tube of super glue, and fixed it myself.Now it's hanging on the kitchen wall and seems to be working okay. But as for paying $39.98 for this? Well, we know the ol' dollar ain't worth what it used to be but in this case, it's kind of like adding insult to injury.

The media could not be loaded.  This just arrived yesterday and I got it up today.Not sure about the issues that others have seemingly had as the clock was no problem to hang whatsoever and I didn't even have to give the tail a push to get it going... It just started all on its own.It's quite a cute piece and seems to work very well.5 Stars...

cat clock felix great item, looks happy and funny, not like other clocks which look creepy, easy to put to gether just use small clip with two pins, to connect tail to pendulum. make sure hang up right, like you do any pendulum clock very pleased thank you
