We hike mountains all the time and are regularly getting water out of streams and lakes to drink through this. We also use it to fill other bottles/bladders from these water sources.

The bottle is very light and packable. My only complaint is that the material has a yellow color when filled (with even tap water), so I think it mentally makes me think that there is something wrong with the water. Maybe it's just me. The water is crystal clear when it is squeezed out into a cup.

This bottle was a waste of money for my needs. First, it gave the water a horrible aftertaste of plastic. It has no insulation so the water was hot within minutes of filling it. And finally, it will not stand on its own! So, you either carry it awkwardly in your hands or hook it from your bag. There's no sitting it upright on anything. I returned it.

These filters were quite a bit bigger than I expected. I was hoping for something smaller that I could hook to the outside of a day pack but wouldn't be to big flopping around the outside of the pack.These appear well made and I like that they can tread onto a bottle or bag or can be used with the included straw. I also like that they can easily be hung with the included carabiner.

I bought this to take on a 27 mile day hike/ run and it was a life-saver! It was easy to use, and quick to filter river and lake water. I would fill it as we crossed/passed by moving water, squeeze a couple bottles-full into my friend's bottles, refill again, put it in my pack, and drink on the run. I gave it 4 stars because the lid can be tricky to get on tight and it sometimes leaked water when squeezing filered water into a friend's water bottle. I was impressed with how much water pressure I got when filtering. Overall a great purchase.

Bought this and 2 others to take on a trip overseas. The bottle leaks even when tightened well. The whole body is soft so it has no way to stand up at all. If you are keeping it in a backpack pouch this is a non issue. The filter is large and seemed no different in taste from a Katadyn one. Ill be taking it as a backup to the HydraPak 750mi! soft flask (my winner)

CONSIt took a few times of using and washing to get the strong scent from the container to disappear. I had issues with leakage. Although the picture showed the bottle sitting upright, it can't. It laid on its side and unfortunately had a slow drip.PROSVery lightweight and can be stored easily for emergency use. The water really does taste better. I used already filtered water and allowed the bottle to serve as a secondary filtration. Ultimately this water bottle served its intended purpose.I'd have more to say about this had my dog not completely chewed and destroyed my water bottle🤨
