Japanese Kita-Boshi OTP-series of 2mm mechanical pencils with the "old-school" look and feel of a classic wooden pencil, but with the high quality smooth premium lead. OPT-series now offers these premium wooden mechanical pencils in a set with 13 brilliant shades of colors. Japan-made artist-quality colored pencil leads are break-resistant and excellent for writing, sketching, coloring and drawing. Smooth, premium quality lead makes it easy to sketch freely, over paint and express gradation. Soft colored lead is ideal for blending and shading. Conventional colored pencils wear down and get shorter making it more difficult to have the perfect grip to draw or shade. With the KITA-BOSHI mechanical colored pencils, you will always have the same length for balance and easy grip. A newly developed internal mechanism prevents the soft tip from breaking inside even if you drop it. The knock-style wooden lead holder was created for those who prefer the feel of a wooden hexagonal pencil while enjoying the convenience and the advantage of a mechanical pencil. The lead holder has a natural wood body of premium American Cedar with its rich warm wood finish. The wood barrel diameter is slightly larger than a regular pencil to accommodate for adult hands. Its light weight and excellent balance make it easy to use for long periods without fatigue. The well-engineered clutch will hold the 2mm lead securely in place without slipping, no matter how much pressure is put on the lead. Located on top is a simple mushroom shaped knock button to release and return the lead back into the holder.
