I found it to be more useful than i expect; prettier, too
This is a lot more attractive than I expected it to be. It’s a really nice green type of wood, that is colored gray. It comes in for sick pieces of wood and for inner slats or slats that will go on the inside. Basically, brief assembly with provided screws and even a screwdriver do you keep in mind that two of the slats are longer than the other so think this went out before you screw it in.I honestly use it for so much when I’m putting away a book at work sorting papers notebooks is coming pretty handy and sexy actually quite attractive so I like it!

As pictured
This is as pictured. There really isn't much I can say about this. It's very sturdy and looks very nice. It is painted to go with a farmhouse decor. The grey color is beautiful! It's very light and would go with any color desk. It is made from wood and holds a lot more than I thought it would. I am currently going back to school and this is perfect for all my papers and textbooks.

Just what I needed
I have this on my home office desk where the slots are horizontal. The instructions to assemble needs work because the pictures they show of the wood pieces are incorrect but I figured them out. Nothing is labeled on the actual pieces either. You can have these set up standing up to put your files/binders vertically or the other way horizontally.

It's nice, but, but it's bigger than it needs to be
This file is reasonably nice, but it's bigger than I expected (the measurements are on the site, so this is on me). It is also not much of a bargain at this $30 price point.Assembly is reasonably easy, although the predrilled holes different in location from the instructions. I always use glue in addition to the provided screws when assembling items like this, and when assembled with glue it's a solid piece. The vintage/weathered look is appealing. In the United States, most paper is 8.5" x 11". The next size up is 8.5" x 14". The storage slots on this desk file are 12-3/4" wide--so almost 2" wider than they need to be for standard paper, but over 1" too narrow for legal paper. Each slot is about 10" deep, too, so 1.5" deeper than necessary. It's a big, chunky file. We got it for my daughter's desk, but it's just too big for that purpose. There are some other little quality nits, like edges that don't line up well. At $15 I wouldn't give them a second thought, but at $30 I expect a bit better. If you need to store thing that are bigger than notebook paper, smaller than legal paper, this may work out well for you. It's perfectly good, just not anything out of the ordinary.

Large document storage
The instructions for assembly were okay. But unfortunately, there were missing drilled holes on the base, so it threw my assembly off. It ended up a bit disjointed. The inner wood slots are not nailed, just free-floating. This is a large storage box, much larger than I expected which meant pulling out documents wasn't easy. It definitely didnt suit my needs for everyday, work needs. Maybe if you get a lot of mail, this would work for sorting.
