Great product!
This pager only from E-Collar is my third E-Collar purchase. I wanted something that would be effective but gentle for my sensitive rescue girl, and this pager is exactly what I had hoped for. After doing some training to introduce her to the collar, now if I want to call her, I use the pager on a "1" just to get her attention without startling her. If I want to correct her, I can go higher or use the "T" button for a stronger pre-set vibration. E-Collar's products are high quality, with long lasting batteries. I recommend the bungee collars - two of my dogs wear their E-Collars about 10 hours a day with no issues. I get no freebies from this company - this is the honest opinion of a real three-dog household mom who has shelled out some good money for these products and who is very happy with the purchases. I bought my initial E-Collar from a professional trainer who taught me how to use the unit, and while they are easy to use, I recommend a trainer to help guide you with proper usage.

Works very well
I'm a dog trainer. I don't use shock collars. I use this collar to train deaf dogs and it works very well. Easy to use and charge lasts all day; which is VERY important. No prongs on the inside so it doesn't hurt the dogs neck when worn all day.

Not for a stubborn dog
I really wanted this to work. It’s of excellent quality. Collar is well made and the instructions explain how to use it quite easily. We tried it for our 1 year old Shiba Inu. At first it looked like it would work. Around the house she responded at the lowest levels and came running whenever it was pressed. Took her out on a regular walk and she ignored it all the way up to the max setting. Originally bought this to help get her attention at the beach since it’s waterproof. Not going to even bother try that as it’s obvious she will just ignore it. Will have to return and get the regular educator

Not just for deaf dogs
I am training a service dog and am working on proofing in public places now. Due to my disability I am often almost mute. My dog is trained in hand signals, but when proofing in noisy environments with many distractions there are moments when he is not giving me his complete attention and if he isn't looking at me he can't see my hand signal. This pager has proven to be my saving grace. They are often used for deaf dogs in order to get their attention, but it works just as well for a mute trainer. I first tried the beep option, but found in busy, noisy environments it was just another noise to him, but the vibrate option on level one is just enough to get his attention. After conditioning he knows to look at my eyes and await a hand signal. Just like verbally saying" look" to get his eyes and attention. I love that the level chosen can be locked in, as level one gets the job done, so I never have to worry about the level accidentally being turned up. I purchased the belt clip so it is attached to my belt, keeping my hands free. It is easy to access when needed. Battery life seems just fine. I turn it on at 7 a.m. and off about 10p.m. and it has never flashed low battery red yet. It also charges within an hour for me, since I assume the battery hasn't gotten too low. This is lite use, so I don't know how battery life would be for someone who pushes the buttons multiple times a day. Most important, for anyone considering using a pager, in ignorant hands this can be abusive to an animal. Some dogs will be more sensitive to this than a regular e collar, so just because it is a pager does not make it more humane than an e collar. For dogs that are not overly sensitive to vibration this is a great communication tool. It's a voice for me and that's pretty cool!

Sensitive GSD responds perfectly to vibration
Determine your dog's temperament prior to choosing the right e-collar. Are they already nervous and anxious with their surroundings? Well, tread carefully on what tool you use as some will only exacerbate things and could have the opposite effect that you want. The electrical stimulation, even at the bare low settings, was too much stimulus to my dog.The 100 different vibrations (low 15 vibration) for everyday getting her attention)and a higher (40+ for stop chasing that dog/car) has worked perfectly for her recall.

50-50 on this
Man this was a challenge to actually receive and took a month or so to actually get all of the parts shipped. Seems to work for my larger more sensitive dog but my little dog is indifferent. For tiny corrects he listens but in the heat of the moment during his bark fests, it doesn't do anything expect give his throat a massage. I would return and get the shock version but I don't want to go through the same experience again.

Happy Training
I rescued an abused German Shepherd that had serious aggression issues. We tried using a low level shock collar but it was too overwhelming for our now beloved Shiva, so we switched to this vibration/sound model. Instantly my German Shepherd responded to the vibration and then I thought instead of using a clicker I'll use this recall collar to reward her on recall. It took a couple quick taps to get her to come to me immediately with a wagging tail and I swear a smile. The difference between the electric collar of fear and this vibration of confidence has truly been a lifestyle change for sure. I'm sure my story is unique because I'm working with an abused adult dog trying to retrain not only bad habits but trying to overcome the non-socialization aspect of puppyhood. The best part was last night 4th of July, the collar had dropped off the dog and living on an acre of land, the challenge was daunting having to go find it. Thankfully the collar has a built in light and a chirping alarm, it took about 5 minutes to find the collar sitting under her favorite outdoor chew chew toy. Each week I try to add a new layer onto her training and it is my goal to transfer her to the electric collar after she feels confident that she's not being punished for just being a dog. I also want to say that I only press the button when I want to reward her, it's very hard not to press it each time she has a missteps, in the long run, it's better to reward positive or wanted behaviors and not reinforce the negative ones.
