I purchased cheaper versions of these artist chests (7 Element version). I was not happy with them and had to send them back. They were cheaply made with cheap wood and shoddy workmanship. Unlike these. I bought this version and the 4 drawer version. These are well made with quality materials and well put together. They are sturdy and worth the extra money spent on them. They will last for a long time and serve my storage needs for all my pens, markers and pencils. Very pleased!

I make art using Mount Vision pastels which are handmade and are fatter around than most pastel sticks - and are not all the same size due to being handmade. (I bought another brand of box to store them but the drawers were sometimes too shallow for the fatter Mount Vision sticks) However this box has drawers that are the perfect depth. Also the drawers open and close smoothly. I bought one box and then quickly bought 2 more. They aren’t just for storing pastels, you could put paint tubes, markers, pencils, even smaller sheets of paper in them. They’re not fancy but they are really well made. And they stack.

The drawers aren’t really uniform. I would have expected that, at least, from a unit that was more than $100. Still, it fills a need. The construction itself seems solid. The drawers are just what is needed for this type of thing, and I can fit all my frequently-used items in it, right where I need them. I don’t regret the purchase, just wish it had either been cheaper or with drawers that aligned properly. I would have given four stars if either of those things were true.Edit- I now wish I’d gone with a different store. Very similar item, higher rated, and $40 cheaper.

This chest finally solved my need for storing my art supplies. Everything is neat and organized in its own little drawer. These chests are beautiful and very well made.

this proved to be a most satisfactory gift

This drawer set is just as advertised and a beautiful addition to my teeny tiny art spot. It is just simple and beautiful gives a feel of zen as it's clean lines an simple beauty hide all my paint tubes and give me plenty of space for my micron pens, paint brushes and charcoal pencils set. I bought two of them and love them. Makes the paint tubes easily accessed and I can find the colors very quickly.The only down side is that the drawers are not deep enough to hold the large tubes of paint.

I used this to organize my coloring books and pencils. I fit over 150 pencils in the smaller drawers. (You could even triple that amount.) Three of the Kerby Rosanes books fit in the larger drawers. (It was hard finding a box to fit them because of their size.) The extra inserts I didn’t use I just stored in the gap where the two drawer boxes sit on one another.

I was looking for a drawers box where my watercolour paint tubes could fit. This is it! great fit, see pictures.Unfortunately one of the drawers from the two box set disappeared during the delivery (wither at custom or in tansit with Canada Post). I had to return the set I had received and re-order. Amaozon does not send only the missing chest.I already have re-ordered..
