Excellent Charger: Worth the Extra Money over a cheap quick charger
I'm a professional photographer and I use a lot of batteries in my flashes and other devices, so I needed a charger that would (a) give me the best charge in my batteries and (b) be able to test the batteries and let me know when they're going bad, so I'm not surprised with a dead battery when I'm out on a shoot. This charger has been perfect for me. Within the first week that I used it, it helped me identify a three batteries from my oldest sets that were not holding a full charge anymore. You can select how fast you want to charge your batteries (slower is usually a little better for the longevity of your batteries, if you have the time), you can re-condition your batteries, and it's all done safely and individually. The controls are not exactly the most intuitive in the world, but once you get used to them, they're easy enough. Everything is just a matter of pressing the "slot" button to select a battery, the "function" button to select what you want to do, and then the "current" button to determine how fast you want to do it. It seems like a lot of button pressing, but it gets the job done.I've now been using it for a few months, with no problems. One of my old chargers was a cheap one that came with a set of 4 batteries, and although it worked fine, it charges batteries in pairs... so when the first battery reaches full charge and it stops charging, the second battery in the pair also stops charging and never reach a full charge, meaning that half of the batteries in my flashes would be under-charged at any given time. This charger fixes that.Of the three batteries that I discovered that weren't fully charging anymore, two of them started working properly again when I ran them through the "Refresh" cycle in this charger. I don't know how long that will last... it seems weird to me that this would work, but I've moved the batteries to light-duty in a flashlight, and they seem to be holding up. Nice.

Easy to use, excellent results and includes C/D battery adapters!
This is a fantastic battery charger! It allows you to customize each slot to whatever voltage you want. It has four slots for aa or aaa, but it also comes with two adapters that allow you to also charge C and D batteries! You are limited to charging two C/D batteries at one time because of the larger size, but that's ok as the C/D batteries tend to last a long time.I did have a recent failure of this charger about 9 months after purchase and I contacted the seller DL Portable Power (Robert) asking if it would be possible to get a warranty exchange. To my amazement he replied on a Sunday that he would ship me a new one - no questions asked. I was floored - Robert is a rare seller who goes to great lengths to ensure that his customers are satisfied. Well done Robert - you are awesome!

Very Good Charger for Regular Use
See the edit at the bottom.NLee the Engineer covered this product very thoroughly in his review, but I wanted to throw in my two cents. The product functions exactly as the description says, but the discharge/refresh function did not work as well as I had expected. I took four older duracell 2000 mAh AAs, fully charged them in a CEF23DX4N smart charger, and then discharged (not discharge/refresh) them at 300mA in the BT-C2000. They were initially all between 1640mAh and 1675mAh. I then charged them in the BT-C2000 at 600mA, and ran the discharge(300mA)/refresh(600mA) cycle. After close to two days the cycle had completed, yielding readings between 1734mAh and 1782mAh. I was a little bit disappointed because I had expected more in the range of 1850mAh.I ran the test again using the same procedure on four Panasonic 550mAh AAAs (with currents of 200mA discharge and 400mA charge) (sitting unused for roughly one year), and eight Energizer 2300mAh AAs (with 300mA discharge and 600mA charge) (discharged and charged about three to five times a year in a GPS since new). The Panasonic batteries started between 398mAh and 431mAh and ended up between 447mAh and 485mAh (one cell determined by me to be defective due to low reading was omitted), while the Energizer batteries started between 1911mAh and 1993mAh and ended between 2099mAh and 2194mAh. I thought that it would recover a little more capacity than it did for all tested batteries. The build quality of the plastic casing has a cheap feel to it, though it should have no problems so long as it is not abused.Overall it is a nice unit to have, but lost a star as a result of its cheap feel and less than anticipated refreshing abilities. One tip though, to get the most capacity per charge with this unit, let it trickle charge for a few hours after it has completed the charge cycle. It tends to stop short of a full charge at the selected charge rate, presumably in an attempt to extend the life of the cells.P.S. If anyone has experience with other advanced chargers, could you please comment and let me know if it is normal for a refresh cycle to yield results like these? I feel that it should have done better than it did, but want to be fair in my review.Edit: NLee has stated that my results are perfectly acceptable given the age of the batteries and the type of charger previously used (see his comment). I have adjusted my rating accordingly. I would give it four and a half stars if I could because the feel of the plastic still bothers me a little bit. I hope this helps!

Good for restoring batteries other chargers reject
You can charge batteries with a high internal resistance that other chargers reject as bad. This is useful for rejuvenating poor batteries that may be recoverable.

Well worth the money!
i should have bought one of these chargers years ago! It works great. It tells me just how bad some of my batteries are and which ones are worth saving. The good batteries charge fast and never over-charge. Well worth the money.
