I needed a voltage reducer in order to put lights, t/s, brake lights and horn on my Yamaha Golf Car. The instructions were very good with color coding in the instruction sheets. My cousin is a factory Yamaha mechanic and to make sure I set it up correctly, I made a phone call to him. I was going to bypass the red wire to the ignition switch, but he told me it's better to hook it up to save the batteries in the long run. Happy with so far. I placed the voltage reducer on the wheel well (pictured) which should keep it from getting wet.

works...but as mentioned in another review be sure to check your harness and compare the wires to the wires from the unit....two wires were in the wrong positions and probably would have resulted in a damaged unit if i had not noticed and corrected the issue myself
